no shield for revenge

I did a quick search, and found nothing mentioning this. If there are other threads, and I missed them, I apologize.

I am sure I am not the only one frustrated by lack of revenge windows. You log on, see the attack, check out the base, then hit the button. Cannot attack! User online!. Five minutes later, same message! Check back in another five, and now there is a shield? ♥♥♥, now I probably have to wait 12 hours, and if I am lucky, I might get revenge on that person. The frustration heightens when you just want to wipe out the (expletive) who just got 1,000dark doing a de zap.

Well here is my solution. When the revenge button is pushed, the other players shield is paused. The reason it is paused, is so that revenge cannot be one barb that causes the person to lose their shield. The revenge attack then occurs, and at the end, the shield resumes. That would only change game play minimally, and would make it a little more interesting.

The easier it is to revenge, the easier it is to be revenged.

For every revenge i want to do (which surprisingly i have none on my list right now) there are a dozen that want to revenge me. More so if you raid more frequently.

Unless you are a terrible raider or never raid, you should be more fearful of being revenged than anxious to do a revenge. A typical active player would be on more revenge lists than he has people to revenge.

Revenges shouldn't be made easier.

I am willing to accept the fact that I reap what I sow. I have five on my revenge list that I cannot touch, 3 of which were de zaps. Even in revenge, I will not get that de back, but it is the satisfaction of taking their bases to the ground that I seek

I LOVE IT!!!! I know there are a few thousand peeps that would like to get back at me. Let em try! JUST BRING IT!!

Well the few thousand would not have a shot, because the list does have limits, which is actually a protection feature unto itself

i dont really care for this idea at all.
say for example that you are boosting your barracks for 2 hours and get in, just for argument, 10 attacks.

you have stored up all this loot. you are saving for a big upgrade.
you realize that you will be attacked but based off the loot penalty and loot availabilty, you can handle losing 200-400k of each resource. it happens. nothing you can do.

now, with this idea. every single one of those people you attacked can come on here an attack you without issue.

your stored up few million dwindles drastically after each subsequent attack. there is no shield remember, because you want to do away with shields for revenges. so now, all those people that dont really revenge because they view it is a monumental waste of time waiting for someone to get offline, etc. these people are gonna start revenging more.

more loot will be taken from you.

this another instance where the person suggesting this idea doesnt really comprehend that what is available to them, is available to everyone.

I am not for the shield bypass on the revenge attacks, but I would like to see some of the following

1. Be able to see if a village is under a shield when you are visiting
2. Be able to see if an owner is online when you are visiting
3. Be able to Revenge when you are visiting if they are in your list, similar to when you are visiting in a war.
4. An easier interface to visit the multiple possible villages that attacked for potential revenge attacks, instead of the tedious visiting, going back home, going to the attack list, then scrolling back where you were.
5. Or only show the Red Revenge button if there is no shield and they are not online?

Thoughts? Should this be its own post?

So you'd be willing to expose yourself to significant loss of DE in order to revenge someone easier while not even getting back most of what you lost?

Makes sense....?

What's worse than having your DE zapped? Having your DE zapped via revenge....

Don't bother, most if not all of the above is ruled out. #5 is 100% ruled out and the rest is pointless as all you have to do is click "Revenge" to discover if the owner is online or shielded.

If that is true, why do recognize this fact above? You may not like the idea, but at least read everything before you make comments that are a bit inaccurate.

The shield is there for a reason, so the person has time to build up back their loot and they don't constantly lose loot.

How much more will you complain when you log off of your account and return to something like this:

5 Revenges

1- 200k/200k/1000
2- 158k/169k/850
3- 1200 zapped DE
4- 212k/206k/1230
5- 1100 zapped DE

...and this happens even if you have a full 16 hour shield, the ONLY way to avoid this from being a consistent occurrence to remain online indefinitely!

Then your shield runs out and you get slammed again....

Then you get another 5 revenges against you....

You finally log on and realize you've got no loot left...

....you then log onto Clash of Clans forum and complain how revenge is broke....

yes, as Axion mentioned. i understand your idea quite well.
i think that it is you who does not understand, i also dont think you completely read my rebuttal to your idea.
you may have read it, but you dont understand the point.

you see, i do not revenge that much, if at all.
sometimes ill go through my list when i dont have a shield and see if i can, if i can, great. if i cannot, i dont sit there and waste my time waiting for them to get offline or their shield to run out. i can simply find another base.

my point is that if your idea was implemented, i would revenge everyone on my list before i even started looking for bases to raid. so would everyone else who is like me.

i dont really care for the revenge option to begin with, but can see its appeal.
your idea would completely change the game, and not for the better.

Don't like it. But it would be nice if revenge attacks wouldn't break your own shield. That way you could at least get some of the loot back from the revenge, and some from the collectors.
