Change the system of lightning spells

Since now the lower lvl players with town hall 7 and 8 love to use 3 lightning spells on the Dark elixir storage of another player. I think Supercell needs to come out with an idea to counter that. I'm suggesting maybe the player is able to summon a force field defending the dark elixir storage by spending 1000 dark elixir. So that the lightning spell dropped by attackers will not effect the dark elixir storage but still will damage other nearby structures. The 1000 dark elixir spent on the force field will only be effective for one defense, in which have to be restocked for another defense.

there have already been multiple comments on DE zapping. I think it is a part of the game, and is fine how it is. I have never used this strategy, but i have had it used against me. It doesn't bother me because it gives me free trophies.

Please search before creating a new thread. Or just scroll down because there is already one just like this on page 1. Nerfing zapping is still bad for the game and should not be changed.

Resetting the "new zapping thread counter" from zero days to . . . zero days. Record of maximum days between new zapping threads holding steady at . . . zero.

because spells are not supposed to have counters to them.
go read the info about the spell factory.
im paraphrasing, but it basically says that it gives the user of them an advantage in battle, or turns the battle in my favor.
something like that.

if you can counter my spell, how is using it, in my favor?

Oh my gosh, for the millionth time. NO. It's not changing, deal with it. Yes it sucks.

For your information; Supercell has already made changes. The recent elixir/gold update was made for players to put their elixir to good use to upgrade their walls, thus making players want to save up elixir and not spend them making lightning spells just to get dark elixir.

Haha they added the wall update because many players had lots of elixir with nothing to do with it, they did not add it so people would stop making lightning spells.

Using it to turn the tides of battle doesnt mean there is no counter. The heal spell is countered by infernos for example. What that description does imply is that it turns the tide, it doesnt create the tide. In other words spells play an augmentative role and are supposed to be used with troops. This doesnt really occur with zapping de. You can say that people still use a few troops to snipe th but the spell still isnt being used in any way to support the raid, and the objective of stealing resources still wouldve been achieved without troops. This isnt the case for any other spell or using the lightning spell for anything other than resources.

i still think that using a lightning spell on de storages, or on any other building for any reason, is a viable tactic.

fortunately, for the time being, supercell agrees with people like me and dont think that lightning spells need changing.

that being said, if they did decide to change it in the future, i will simply adapt.

until then, zap on.

So you'd rather spend 1k DE and send it into oblivion rather than another player getting the 1k DE where it could potentially be gotten back by you?

Seems like everyone loses on that. Plus, I'd get a kick out of just dropping a single lightning on the storage to waste the shield and forcing the player to reload 1k DE for nothing.

Agreed. while you lose 1k, no one wins anything. The defender loses 1k de that might have been more than what could've been raided, and the attacker could just trip the shield if he knows they are gonna lose.

just a side note, how do you expect th7s to raid 10k DE for their BK if they can only efficiently raid other th7s and premmie bases, then when they get close, get smacked by a th8 for a loss?

This ^ it should not be be implemented, just deal with it. If youre a higher th then you can earn all lost de back in one raid. I see no problem, period.

Just sayin', town hall 9's zap more than town hall 8's in my opinion. I always get zapped by th 9's that can't get to it, and it's infuriating because they're is nothing I can do to stop it and I can't revenge them because they're greedy town hall 9's!

Yes, it is infuriating. But as TH9 there is no real loot penalty. You can now revenge them effectively. As much as I hate getting zapped I understand why it is (and should) be possible. It is good for the game even though I don't like it. I do however like the occasional easy revenge.

It's part of the game. I used to zap a lot when I was Th7-8. Just got to deal with it.

it would be better if hidden tesla towers could absorb a portion of the lightning spell being used your de storage. As long as the trsla was in range of the dropped lightning spell.

Please, for the love of God, do a search before posting a thread. There are only a few thousand threads about lightning... It is part of the game, live with, learn to raid better to get more de or revenge. I get zapped daily, surprisingly by th9 and 10...waste of elixir in my view.... and then I take it back and more on the revenge(not zapping)...all others i destroy their base on principle. So I lose 200-1500 de a day....I make 4800 with my drills and raid another 5-10k a day.... play the game, quit crying, learn to raid it back, get over it...... find a shoulder to cry on, a pacifier to suck or a blanket to cuddle. MAN UP! do something about it....posting that you don't like it is NOT doing something about it.
