DE farming

Hello

I am TH9 with all elixir troops maxed and lvl3 minions. My elixir upgrades are running out (have the DBs left and the DE storage). I farm about 2 hrs per day in one streak. I am in G1. Currently I farm with barbs, archers and gobs and 8 wbs that I only use when needed. At least one of my heroes is under upgrade usually.

I see a lot of people saying they farm massive amounts of DE every day, like 20-80k. My question is how to do it? Do I need to move up in leagues? Should I use stronger armies (=less attacks), if yes what?

I really need to push for the hero upgrades and dark troop upgrades so any advice is more than welcome!

Yes you need to move up... Crystal 3 is really a minimum for farming DE. I'm farming in master and usually make 35k DE per day, which allows me to have both heroes constantly upgrading. I don't think you should go that high with your TH9, but would recommend you move up to Crystal 2 and raid within the low Crystal 2 range (maintain between 2100 and 2200). That already gives you an additional 100 per winning raid, and you will find a lot more DE at that lvl

What army do you use? Are these via collector raids or do you have to crack lego walls to get to the center of insane bases?

A mix of those.

I'm most of the time barching, either taking collectors or not too well protected storages (I usually take 8-10 wallbreakers in my army so I can breach one or 2 lvl of walls if needed).

As I also need to maintain my trophy level, I barch when I have lots of time too farm, but use a baloonion army when I have less time to play (thus more time to train), which allows me to regain some trophies I lost while barching and at the same time get to the center of those bases with lots of loot.
