i like the drill, it's a long term positive effect.
Though if you are one of the people that farm 20-50k DE per day, the drill is only a marginal income for you.
Golems and witches only matter if you play wars or trophy push.
Depends on what you are using it for.
My clan does lots of wars, so this is what I am doing:
unlocking witches (upgrade lvl 2 to later)
max drills
Get both heroes at equal levels (lvl 10)
Golem upgrade

The issue is TH9 has a ♥♥♥♥ ton of upgrades but you do have to look at long term.
Maxing drills early will benefit you greatly when upgrade dark troops\heros. I had these maxed right away.
As far as the golem goes it depends on how much you will use it. If you are in a clan that wars a lot then yeah having max golems early is really nice to have out of the way.
But if you look at your hero's... these guys get super buff at TH9 and you get to use them all the time for farming and raiding. The best investment to me for the long run is Hero's.
