Should I drop cups?

I'm a TH8 with everything maxed except walls. I've got 50ish skull walls and to max the rest I need quite a bit of gold. I'm at crystal 2 and it's hard finding decent loot that isn't in a th9 or th10 where I am at a disadvantage because I don't have access to stuff like AQ Jump spells witches etc. I regret pushing trophies so early, but the loot bonus got me attracted. I hate to see my hard work gone to waste, but if I have to I'll do it. Should I drop cups? If so how many. I'm currently at 2300's.

Drop it like its hot son!!! If you really are maxed at 8, then you dont need a surplus of DE right now... So hop down to Gold 1/2 and clean house down there... It's not hard to stumble across 700K+ RSS raids down there

My personal preference for farming walls is sub 200.

Then again, if you really are maxed except for walls, then you must have idle builders.... Idle builders means its time to make the jump to the next TH

I thought about it but I decided I'm not ready for TH9 until I have all skull walls. Even if I did go to TH9 I wouldn't have the resources to upgrade the new defenses and stuff.

Idle builders are inevitable at some point anyway so I'm not so sure why people are so concerned about it. Especially as you get closer to end-game. Everything costs a fortune to save for and if you ever plan to max walls you are going to have idle builders regardless to whether you have them idle now or later.

It is easy to farm loot at lower TH's.

Personally, I'd take advantage of that and max what you can. Maxing walls now is going to be easier than later, even at the cost of having idle builders.

...And it's already over a bil to max walls from lvl 8-10 as a TH9, on top of everything else. I wouldn't want to be playing catch up on walls as a hall 9 if it were me. Better to knock out the skulls now.

I'd stay; I'm also a TH 8 (about halfway maxed tho) and I'm also in the same range. Instead of going for storages or waiting for collector bases, I usually just BAM 50% and snipe THs whenever I can. Been very profitable, never had either a builder nor my lab sleeping, even managed to get a jump on skulls. DE hasn't been an issue either, currently lvl 3 minions and hogs and a lvl 9 barb king.
