I vote no to this. Raid more targets that demand some thought to tactics. I rarely hit a target that is a lower th level than I am and only if they have been inactive cause I like the challenge. I find enough rushed th8 that it's not even much of a challenge.
A th10 should not rely on barching mines of inactive th8s. This will fix nothing.
The Problem is too many attackers and too few bases to attack because everyone hides behind a cheap shield.
My idea is:
.) Reduce loot from mines from 50% to 20%
.) Reduce storage loot by about 33%, but Keep loot cap for th9/10 at the same level
.) Fix the shield system (for example shield Duration based on troops killed not based on a sniped th) and reduce average shield Duration from 12 hours to 8 hours
.) Award the clan war storage loot Bonus (20% of the win Bonus) equals about 100K each for a maxed th10, 50K each for a medium th8
.) Remove inactive bases much faster from the Queue
.) Remove traps rearming, clan Castle troops should survive an attack if not older than 16 hours.
This will have following effects:
.) More bases available to attack so less nexting. Shorter shields => More attacks per day possible
.) Not few very good bases but many normal bases to attack => even less nexting
.) Difficulty for the Defender is about the same, but doing a good defense is awarded instead of punished by a 39% "win" with all traps disarmed, cc troops killed and 1-2 Storages each raided
.) System depends less on the economy. No more bad loot at Weekends or after an update
.) More Motivation to go to th10 and to build better armies to Smash the big bases.
This will not increase your average ressource output. This is perfectly fine at least until th9. The problem is only the boring nexting and upgrading defense at th9 or th10 makes sense again, because you are not cheap shielded twice a day.
In the big picture of available loot, it doesn't make any difference if 100% of mine/collector loot is available or 50% is available. (This is addressing what people have proposed in replies, not what the OP proposed).
I'll illustrate with numbers. Suppose an idle base has 6 level 11 mines that are full, so they collectively contain 900,000 gold. Consider 2 scenarios, the proposed one where 100% is available, and the current one where 50% is available; assuming no loot penalty. Also assume every raid results in a shield.
100% available:
- someone takes 900 kG, leaving 0 kG
- after the 12 hour shield, the 0 kG has grown to 216 kG (3k per hour per mine = 216 kG)
- someone takes 216 kG, leaving 0 kG
- after the 12 hour shield, the 0 kG has grown to 216 kG
- someone takes 216 kG, leaving 0 kG
- after the 12 hour shield, the 0 kG has grown to 216 kG
... and that repeats forever. Every attacker gets 216 kG every time.
50% available:
- someone takes 450 kG, leaving 450 kG
- after the 12 hour shield, the 450 kG has grown to 666 kG (3k per hour per mine = 216 kG)
- someone takes 333 kG, leaving 333 kG
- after the 12 hour shield, the 333 kG has grown to 549 kG
- someone takes 274 kG, leaving 274 kG
- after the 12 hour shield, the 274 kG has grown to 490 kG
- someone takes 245 kG, leaving 245 kG
- after the 12 hour shield, the 245 kG has grown to 461 kG
- someone takes 230 kG, leaving 230 kG
- after the 12 hour shield, the 230 kG has grown to 446 kG
- someone takes 223 kG, leaving 223 kG
- after the 12 hour shield, the 223 kG has grown to 439 kG
- someone takes 219 kG, leaving 219 kG
- after the 12 hour shield, the 219 kG has grown to 435 kG
... and so on. Hopefully you can see that the amount of available loot asymptotically approaches 216 kG - EXACTLY THE SAME AMOUNT AVAILABLE IN THE 100% SCENARIO.
The OP said to remove the loot penalty on mines/collectors. The only way the loot penalty hurts loot's big picture is when a mine/collector reaches its capacity while the shield is active. Typically a shield lasts 12 hours. Mines/collectors at level 8 or higher take 24+ hours to fill, meaning that in 12 hours it will fill less than 50%. If a string of TH9's attacked a TH7 every 12 hours, under the current loot penalties they would be taking less than 50%, so over time a mine/collector could reach capacity while a shield is active. But a TH7 getting hit by only TH9s is a very unlikely scenario. If TH8's or lower raid that TH7, they will take enough so that the mines/collectors won't reach max capacity during the 12 hour shield.
Well, hopefully you took time to fully understand what I've said. Overall, eliminating the loot penalty or increasing the % of loot available will not help the overall loot problem much at all.
It would suck if I lose like 180K resources just off a collector raid while I can't be on. :( I hope this doesn't happen. Would lose soooooooooo much just while I'm asleep or at school, IF I dot get a shield. Also I just realized that if there was a abandon high level base that we could take 900K g + e XD

Actually not a bad idea.
It would stop the current trend of living off collectors (which I am doing because I can't be bothered playing with the current loot mess).
Those newer players who have become these 'passive' players (earning Supercell nothing BTW) would quit totally and thereby turn the sea of lousy 50k bases into something worth raiding so far less nexting.
It would encourage people to move higher for the bonus and barch/bam.
IMO storage raids on high level bases is NEVER going to be the norm. Everything that Supercell has done to push us that way (presumably to increase gem use for rax boosting) has not worked. I have a maxxed TH9 and I have rarely been attacked by high level troops because nobody is going to farm with a war army. But changing the collector loot would mean we could go back to higher level, more fun armies.

I would easily take a -180,000 each every morning if i could make it back easier more people will log in the game would be much better make it so 90% of the collector can be stolen
I'm also in favor of this. Additionally putting in a achievement for maxing mines and pumps is long overdue. (A decent gem amount to actually motivate players) I find abandonded bases all the time. They are unraidable due to being lvl 3-4 most of the time.

How about you become a th 10 and try to farm there and see what it's like. You can spend 40 minutes for your balloonion or whatever army and get 300k of each on some th 9...and that's about it unless you want to barch 130k over and over again.Quote:
