So guys I am th9 and I have NEVER used gowipe or gowiwi. The reason being I am an expert air attacker so I honestly don't feel the need to at this moment but I will eventually once my golem is maxxed for th9. The purpose of this thread is I am curious how an anti gowiwi/ gowipe war base would look. Since I do not use the attack I am not completely sure if I am countering it the correct way. If you guys have any ideas or a base itself anything is appreciated. Tyvm

These don't really exist. A strong wiwi/wipe is a guaranteed 2 on most bases regardless of design.
Giant bombs and lots of traps in the core help to evaporate wiz/witches when they get there which can easily halt a wiwi as well as centralized splash. (As long as the golems don't trip them first).
For Pekkas/wipe you are going to want your teslas typically in the core protecting the Th as much as possible. Skelly traps as well can distract pekkas and royals in the core sometimes long enough for your teslas and other defenses to do some work.
Yes, high lvl walls and compartments do slow down golems and troops as it's a ground attack....but this is easily gotten around by a well placed jump, and it's boom royals and wiz/witch/pekkas right into core once the pathing is correct.
There's a reason why these two attacks are used by almost all high tier play, it's near impossible to stop.
Sure, the 3 is rare unless the base can be exploited....but you aren't going to be winning many defenses against it, and it's a safe 2* for most.
Gowiwi or Gowipe can 2 star most bases.
What you are trying to achieve is to prevent the 3-star, because preventing the 2-star is very hard. From my understanding, there are three main parts to this:
1) Less open layout, more closed compartments, high level walls. Because if you let golems walk freely with dps behind them the gowipe or gowiwi is very strong. Labyrinth/funnel types of bases with large open compartments typically don't work so well, unless you have...
2) Separation of tank and dps pathing. One thing to aim for is build the base such that the tanks and dps separate. e.g. golems walk around the sides because that is where the next closest defense is, but wiz and witch advance forwards into a giant bomb because of the presence of non-defense buildings or...
3) Positioning of cc and heroes. Exploiting the "pull effect" of cc and heroes can sometimes work for the defense, even though gowipe attackers usually use this to pull the dps pack into core. One typical scenario where you see gowipe fail to get the 2 star is when they attack from opposite side of TH from heroes and cc. They get pulled so far forward that they move ahead of tanks, and into the combined fire of the 2-3 untouched sides of the base. If your heroes and cc can hold them up enough, massed splash and tesla fire can kill the DPS pack and save TH, or at the very least save the 3 star.
All this easier said than done of course.
high level walls and lots of compartments is anti gowiwi gowipe for stopping the 3 star. You can't stop 2 star but giant/wiz will get 2 star on a TH9 so let them waste resources on gowipe.

I am probably giving the guy too much credit (99% he did it accidently) but when I was a rookie gowiper I got caught by a trap I will soon explain.
Once I got a 4/5/3 gowipe army as a TH9, I began my gowiping career. It was great. Right from the start I could two star any TH10 my clan was matched up with (granted I am not in a high lvl war clan and never see maxed tens).
One particular base I came up against had a very easy route to get to the core without a lot of distracting buildings. Most of the buildings were on the other side which should have tipped me off. I went all out for that TH. I dropped my golems and then a row of wizards behind them. I easily cleared a mile wide path to the core and dropped a jump over the second wall (my wbs got through the first). Then came my 4 pekkas who went right in where I raged them and mushroom clouded his clan troops, infernos, xbows, teslas, and TH. I sighed relief until I noticed I only had 38% and all my troops were down and stuck inside the core!!! I ended up coring his base and ended with 44%. If you design a base like this, there is a possibility you can catch someone off guard and hold him to a one star. It would help if you use a little brain power to make sure he uses his jump spell to get in so he can't use it to get back out again.
funneling troops away from TH and separating defense from TH...Xbows, tesla and wiz towers have to cover each other and be in separate compartments from TH
A good gowipe or gowiwi is going to get 2 stopping the third star is the goal.
