Skeleton Traps

lol .... something that a couple of minions/barbs/archers can take out, cannot be in any way condsidered op.....


A minor irritant at most ----- the biggest issue i've seen is they distract the dumb pekka for a few seconds in the core ---- As that is where you'd expect them to be - you should be prepared......


Other than that, it seems to be the hoggers who hate them most, and it appears sc don't give a monkeys about hogs or hoggers............ :cool:

Kinda depends on what you're attacking with, as a hogger they don't bother me all that much because by the time the skellies catch up and do what they do my hogs have most likely done their job and the follow on forces take care of the buggers. That being said I have seen my skellies completely ruin a dragon attack on me by luring an entire pack of dragons out over useless outer buildings but keeping them in range of air defenses.....final outcome less than 30%.

At higher levels their best use is for the extra 3-4 seconds of distraction to allow your telsas, x-bow and infernos to do their damage.

No its not, max th10 are getting two star a lot even with the new skeleton traps.

Not sure who you're attacking but skel trap directly in the core just seems like a waste of a trap to me...against a wipe I feel the most effective location would be just outside in a ring type formation, you want it so when the pekka does make into the core the trap gets triggered drawing them back out. We all know how hard it can be to keep a pekka focused, just think what good placement of this trap could do to divert that. I've already used it to good effect against dragons....similar ai.

Usualy, when I've noticed them affect the pekka, they are off on side of the core, they seem to slow/distract her a bit..... I just meant that thats when you should be expecting them to throw a spanner in the works (as per your post) --- be prepared.......

Gotcha....most traps I've run into aren't exactly optimized....as my lure before hogging seems to trigger at least 2 of them more than half the time, that just makes my life easier as I can bury the castle and the skellies.

I have seen a trap triggered outside the base, but still take 2 pekkas and both heroes from the core to endlessly hit walls until they got to the skels even though the skels were long dead.
But for the most part theyre fine

I use barch or GWAB a lot, so don't notice them a whole lot. A good strat is to have them near where enemies lure your cc, as then they waste more troops clearing them.

I love the new skeleton traps! With intelligent placement they can completely disrupt a full gowipe attack and as a result for the first time in nearly a year of playing at champions league level i am consistently beating gowipe type attacks from some of the top players in the game 4200+ cup players!

Now i just need to figure out a good way to stop getting beat up by lavaloonion! Those lava hounds seriously are op!
