Did I Totally Screw Up?

Hello fellow Clashers and thanks in advance.

My question is thus. Did I totally screw up?

I recently started to upgrade my town hall to level 8. As it finishes up, allow me to explain my base.

Max Archer Towers, Cannons, Mortars, Wizard Towers, Clan Castle, Army Camps, Researches
2 Level 5 Air Defenses (Could be level 6)
All my walls are pink, and 20+ are purple.
Teslas are both level 2.
Elixir Collectors are all level 8, and Gold Mines are at 9.
Storages are all level 11
Barracks are levels 7, 7, 9, 9.
Dark Elixir Barracks and Storage are both at level 2.

So I tried pretty hard to max it. I did a pretty good job - every defense but teslas and air defenses are maxed.

Was it a huge mistake to not do those, the teslas, and max out my walls? I heard TH7 is the best place for farming gold, but really I only attack TH7's anyway so the loot penalty will not be huge and I will have better troops.

And, FYI, I have read the horror stories. There is no way I am stepping foot on TH9 without maxed defenses. Even if that takes me 3 months.

Oh, and another minor question. I go away to summer camp, in the summer. Will my account be deactivated with 2 months of inactivity?

You slightly rushed it, but no where near screwing up. Upgrading walls is not that much more difficult at TH8 than TH7. Im not sure about the inactivity part though. Good luck.

Oh and FYI pingfao U are awesome. Watched all ur vids and subbed. Guess what my TH8 base is going to be?

And one last question: Does TH8 really take 3 months to max?

No you haven't completely screwed up, but your walls need to be all level 7 before advancing to TH8, and to gain more experience/levels your gold mines should be at 10/11 by the time your ready to move to TH8, so that you can also rely on them when your not raiding.

you've made a slight mistake only.

It is not going to hurt you because if u just recently started the upgrade u have about 8 days to upgrade that other stuff.About town hall lvl9,I am town hall lvl 9 but the lvl of my defenses is probably the equivalent of a mid-town hall lvl8.I have had no problem getting and protecting my recources.All u have to do is use a good base design and attack smartly.I stay at the 1400-1500 range and it has not been hard to find recources.With 2 pekka barracks being active(my other 2 r on their way to lvl 10) it has been harder to get recources because I have to wait 2x longer to attack.I was able to get over 1000000 million elixir from 5 attacks because all of the had like 200000 elixir.I don't know why everyone complains about going to town hall lvl 9 to early.

The townhall is the best defensive structure in the game, you should upgrade the own hall to level 9 as fast as you can

Why do your walls need to be lvl 7 before going to town hall lvl8.I am town hall lvl9 and I still dont have all lvl 7 walls and i am doing great
