I avoid spells too.
If I do use, it'll be a heal or two. Im a loonioneer so if the loot us good enough and the base is just that hard, say they have xbow set to air, then ill use a heal or two.
Otherwise, no spells.
I take 4 rage and a freeze as part of my farming setup and will often use all 5 (i do boost my spell factory to speed up the build time). If i can get away with using fewer that is good but as i am farming for dark elixir at the moment you often need to penetrate deep into the base to get the anounts of dark elixir i am looking for

OP I usually bring 1 light for incase it ever engages in an area with splash damage. But my mosted used spell is probably the occasional rage to hit a core or fix a bad raid.
