Is the golem good in the cc?

Just your thoughts? I have had a few golems in my cc already and I hate to see it go to waste. It's pretty tough and my defenses are pretty strong so it usually doesn't get defeated. Just wondering if its a good strategy on defense. I know it does little damage but it sure can absorb a lot of damage and gets the attention of attackers. My CC is dead center so it can't be easily drawn out either. My clannies have level 2 golems already and one member now has a level 4 in his cc. Just wondering if it's worth it to keep it there. I know its expensive in regards to DE but in the CC its a free gift :)

It can be. If your CC isn't easily lurable, then the Golem will absorb loads of damage while attackers are focused on it. If infact it does get lured, the attacker spends quite some time in trying to defeat it.

They're not good on defence. They get taken down pretty quick with ground troops.

Only thing I could compare it to is having giants in your cc, which is ineffective. They just get taken out easily and are a small damage sponge - except with the golem all the units will be focused on it. 6000 health max isn't that much when facing a group of archers. Also, if your cc troops can get dragged and it isn't centralised, I'd just use it in raids.

My CC is as centralized as it can get. I do try to use the golem in raids first but it's not always easy to find golem worthy raids. I usually can get the job done without the CC so I always go back to camp with the rock still inside. It does draw a lot of fire though and I haven't lost my resources the both times I got attacked because it drew so much firepower. It's deeply centralized so by the time ground troops get near it I usually have 2 maxed wizard towers close by because the golem is so slow.

Yea, I kinda agree that golem isn't such a good troop as a base defender. Its too slow to chase around enemy troops, and by the time you reach one, its either they're killed or too few to worth anything. He'll just end up chasing every troops that are faster than him and ends up being useless.

I guess you didnt watch the video. He killed close to 50 Troops. Pay attention to what happens at the end when the Golem and Golemites die. :cool:

Oh I missed the split splash damage! Still though, it'd only really be useful on complete nubs. It's a little better than having a Pekka in your CC but not much... I always seem to get my heaviest revenges when I have a Pekka in my CC. They must wait and watch, biding their time till they find me with a bloody Pekka in there.

If a Golem splits on defence, is it destroyed at the end of battle and removed from your CC even though the Golemites are still alive?
