Today i had i guy come in the clan wen i the leader wasnt on and he got elder and kick all my good ppl out This problem has been goin on since day 1 ppl geting elder then they start to kick ppl out, so what im saying is to remove the elders power to kick ppl out, i think only the leader sould have that power to kick ppl out of the clan, so fix this BIG problem and yall will have a better game.
So why promote people to elder at all or why not just promote everyone to elder? Quit granting elder to only a select few. As you said, this has been happening since day 1 so it's not like you didn't know about it.Quote:

Elder means nothing in this game. I only give it to players who have proven themselves to be mature enough not to be the one doing as stated in the OP's example. Needing two or three elders to kick will solve the issue as well. I also immediately kick any new member who asks for elder. In my experience, this person will do the kicking as soon as he gets it.
It would be nice to have more of a purpose for the elder status.

How about you have "Elder" powers which just means you have a higher position but are not able to kick people; and if the leader wants to he or she can give any member or elder of the clan new position to kick people who are elders or members. You could limit this position to like 5 people or less.
What's the point of having/being an elder if you cant do anything?
Some tips:
choose elders wisely - elder people who have been in the clan for a while and have proven to be good players thru chat, advice, donations
link outside of cofc - we have a strong core group of 20-30 members who have swapped emails, gamecentre id's, facebooked each other, or signed onto our forum. We recently had an elder (previously a long time good player) kick good players then leave himself. Was able to contact all but one of them via email, gc id and forum.
make sure elders know what you want from them - because we have kids in our clan our elders monitor things like swearing, have guides as to who to accept into clan, weekly meetings in forum to discuss kicks etc, remind ppl to donate not just request...
dont have elders - keep it as just a leader. Of course then u have to do all monitoring, accepting of players, kicking of players........

I see Elders as moderators of a clan. Removing their kicking powers would make the elder position pointless. Don't give out Elder like candy and promote only those who have proven themselves trustworthy and loyal. This is a great opportunity for you to find out who your loyal members are as a clan leader. Being a clan leader isn't easy. It's a learning experience. Sometimes you'll fail and other times you'll make the right decisions. Anyway, just have fun and good luck.
All of my elders are extremely trusted by myself. They know that I am the only person allowed to promote others. And if they kick somebody out without my permission, they are punished.
As a leader, you should keep your elders in line.
