idle workers at later stages of TH8

I am at around mid to later stage of th8. Based on my calculations on clashofclansmanager.com, my four builders will finish all defense upgrades in 50 days while my lab upgrades will need another 90 days to bring all troops to the Max. Therefore, my workers will be idle for 40 days.
Should I leave one worker idle now for walls or not? I currently only have 8 skull walls and the rest is purple wall.
Would you recommend to have all walls maxed out?
Should i wait to Max all my troops, even though I rarely use pekka and Valkyrie or get to th9 once my defenses are fully maxed.

I just recently upgraded to th9. I was a max th8 except one lvl on teslas. I didn't max pekka or any dark troops. I had all purple walls an a few skulls. Wait on dark troops u get another dark drill in th9. And can upgrade them to lvl6 I believe. Hope it helps

Troops are fun. Offense beats defense. Max your troops. The only thing I am willing to GEM (the time, not resources of course!). I didn't max my Valkyrie, but pekka lvl 3 are sick at TH8. I 2-3 star most low-mid TH9's with Go-Wipe at TH8. Skull walls are fun to finish at TH8. I finished mine before I upgraded to TH9.

I recently maxed all my buildings for TH8, and towards the end I did start leaving a builder free for wall upgrades and just upgrade them as I racked in extra loot, its actually way easier than it appears.

As for troops, while I would love to max all my troops before moving on, and it is irritating the ♥♥♥♥ out of me hearing my clan mates talk about skipping stuff, I will say that at the very least upgrade anything you think you might use, because once you get to TH9 there are going to be lots of other things to upgrade that will take priority and the troops you skipped will take a back seat, this goes for your BK to.

I currently have all of my troops maxed except for minions and valk's, I will skip valk because I have no interest in using them, but minions I am upgrading, despite have 3 free builders, because I would like to use BAM and baloonion at TH9, but I know if I upgrade my TH now I wont upgrade minions till after many other troops.

Is it worth it to max goblins, healers, and heal spells?

Do they contribute a lot in TH9 raids/clan wars?

Not really any new attack/farm strategies at th9 that involve goblins. If you haven't used them at th8 then most likely you won't use them at th9.

As far as healer goes, I've seen some people do healer-archer queen with some limited success.

I'm upgrading to th9 right now and I've gotten all of the troop upgrades except for lvl 3 pekka, couple levels on minions (currently lvl 2), and valkrie. I wish I didn't upgrade healer and got lvl 3 pekka instead. Maxed everything else out including skull walls and traps.

For me I would already stock up 3million gold and start that TH upgrade because I would leave dark troop upgrades to TH9. At the same time maybe max out my barracks and collectors for extra HP and more efficient troop training.

Edit: This is considering your defenses and elixir upgrades are maxed out.
