Hello SuperCell community,

First of all I would like to introduce myself, my name is Farouq, a young man from Sweden who is interested in web developing and have owned several websites before. I've been playing Clash of Clans for about 2 months and decided to create a website dedicated to clans. The domain is ClanCastle.com (Still not linking to my hosting) and in this thread I'm going to post about the progress of the website, what is being added and hopefully get some motivation to work with the website and also get some suggestions!

The idea behind ClanCastle.com is to provide an easy system to my fellow Clashers to join clans, or recruit to a new started clan. Featuring advanced searches and even creating custom pages for your own clan where you can post news, have a small forum and more!


Current ideas that I'm working on:

For clan owners

• Create a clan website, where you could input some basic information for example logo, clan type, requirements, rules and so on.
• The ability to assign special ranks within the clan, for example news writer, elder.
• The ability to post clan news, updates and announcements.
• Adding sub clans or becoming alliance/rivals with other clans within the website.
• Your own forum where you could add sections, assign moderators and so on.
• Clan hall of fame e.g. top donators, highest trophies and so on.
• Create events within the clan, for example "Trophy hunting in 5 days"

For users

• Your own profile where you could post information about your self e.g. town hall level, troops level, trophy amount and more.
• Your online time, your Gamecenter name and so on.
• The ability to follow clans (if allowed) and/or other players for updates.
• You could also search for clans depending on many factors, using the search feature you would only view clans that are for example mainly Swedish, donate a minimum of level 5 archers and are private.
• As a member, you could send other members private messages (could be turned of)

My vision with this website is to improve the social aspect of this game, mainly within clans to make the process alot easier instead of spamming the global chat or posting in the wrong forums. If this turns out as I want it to, it could be an easy way to keep your clan mates updated and also find potential members.

This project is made for fun because I love coding, and also to improve my skills within web design.

You mentioned making alliances, but maybe put the ability to make rivals as well. Obviously, this wouldn't actually mean much in the game as there is no Clan vs. Clan (yet), but it would improve the social aspect of the game.

Also, maybe add a tournament to the website for certain clans. For example, 30 clans enter a tournament. Whoever has the most trophies by the end of the tournament wins. What they win is a free advert on the front page of the website to advertise their clan.

One last thing, you could add the ability to upload replays of attacks so players from anywhere or just your clan (this option could be turned on/off) could watch and leave comments on the attack.

When do you suppose it will be linked to your hosting? I really love this and I hope Supercell promotes it and doesn't shut it down. This is awesome.

I will definitely use this website, it will allow to manage the clan more effortlessly. I have another idea for features as a clan leader; Could you also add a blacklist only accessible to leader and elders? In an effort to regulate non-loyal, childish and poor donators off the clan. Thank you

Thank you for the great suggestions, I appreciate all of them and will hopefully work on them!
However, there is a problem with the tournaments, as long as I don't get access to the clan database of SuperCell to retrieve some information, I won't be able to code a perfect system, however this could be done manually.

There is currently no date to when this will be hosted, however I will hopefully update this thread gradually to let you updated.

Thank you for the motivation guys, I'm glad that you like the idea of the website.

Definitely a great idea! My clan currently uses Wordpress to host our sit, but would be interested in checking this out.

I've just got a new idea, I would add events that would get visible to all players in the clan. For example, trophy hunting in 3 days and so on.

So like hubs for clans? That would be great! They could get news and announcements for the clan on the front page/hub.

Exactly, something like this. Your main clan would be displayed and also clans that you follow as a fan but not a member.

When posting news, you could choose to make it public, within the clan, or restrict to only Elders.

Great idea OP, this could be really helpful to the community, please do keep us all updated on progress.

Very good idea for people that have tablets and computers.
In our clan, a lot of people are using iphones/ipods. Are you designing your site to be compatible with both computer and mobile devices?

FWIW, we use glassboard to communicate with clan members and between 2 clans (main and feeder). We also have a general area for all members and a elders only area...Might want to add something like that too :)

Thank you for the motivation Daddy, I have a couple questions for you about the kit though. I saw it the other day and thought that the timing was perfect!
I guess that the kit will be images, fonts and so on that I can use in my website without having to deal with copyright issues? I don't want to deal with such problems haha!

Yes, the website will be compitable with iDevices and PCs. That's the majority of the idea, the ability to speak to the clan in a simple way. Clans will have their own forums and so on. Refer to the main post to read more!

Bump because this is an awesome idea. I hope it pans out like the OP outlines possible features.

This project is still ongoing. I have school going on so I couldn't work with it as much as I should, however stuff that I'm done with:

• Logging in
• Clan pages
• Status updating

My understanding is they are putting together a fan site kit. So essentially fonts, sprites, pictures, and other content will be made public for anyone to use. This will help other fan sites use the same stuff SuperCell would to make their site look as professional as possible.

Can you confirm a release date? Or can you give us a est release date please!!!

Curious if you've seen those enjin sites, they have a pretty good pallet there for clan/guild sites. Take some ideas from there? :$

No response from him for weeks might indicate the classic over-promise and under-deliver. It's a bummer because I was really looking forward to it!

Great idea.. and domain name. If you are running into issues send me a PM. I may can take over some of the coding on my spare time.

Is it just me or am I not being able to get past the first few steps. It tells me in order to get a premium account I have to download some application, but the application is nowhere to be found. Is it because of my browser or are you just not done with the site?

ClanCastle.com was a project that got cancelled, however I've worked on something bigger and greater!
