So at TH9 im finding that defences cost a lot. I maxed my th8 and noticed a big difference at th9. But not only do the upgrades cost a lot, they take a long time to upgrade as well. I am looking for some advice here. Should I spend gold and elixir on my walls before doing my upgrades so that when all builders are busy there is not much in the way of loot to steal, or should I push on through and save to max defence buildings before touching the walls?
Keep one builder free for walls but make sure to keep enough ressources to upgrade another building as soon as a second builder is available
Defenses are easy to upgrade for th9.
Do walls early or you might not have the patience to do them after defences done.

Myself im going to max my walls at th9. This'll take awhile so i only keep one builder working on a buildings so I can focus on walls more. My base buildings will still be maxed before walls
i love raiding and can fill my storages really quick, so I've always kept 1 builder free at all times to throw all my extra loot into walls. I always make sure I've got the loot for the next building before that builder is finished, Now I'm 1 cannon away from maxed TH9 defences and I've got full Legos and 97 Lavas.
So my answer would be to keep 4 builders working on other stuff, and 1 on walls, th9 defences have really long wait times, so spending 7+ days with nothing to do can get really boring. May as well be grinding out walls in that time.
Upgrade your defenses first.
when u get an available builder,dump ur loot in walls and save enough to upgrade ur defence as well
