I find the way defensive troops come out of the cc to be highly unfair and cheap making it so the cc has to be sprung two or three times before they all come out. This is a giant time waste. And also a double standard... when on offense, I am not allowed to drop a few here and the drop a few there, so why should the defense get that benefit?
How is this unfair? You get the exact same thing as everyone else, meaning this benefits you on defense. On offense, your cc is literally the only thing where you can't drop one troop at a time, so drop your 200+ other troops (disclaimer: since dropping troops one at a time is so important, I'm assuming you only use barbs, archers, and gobs) one by one to give you 165+ troops more than the defender. If anything's unfair, it's that overwhelming troop advantage.

yes it is frustrating, but it keeps you on your toes.

you can drop any troop anywhere on the base except behind the red line, inside the base.
what I meant was when dropping the cc on offense... where you drop it, all the troops will come out at once. You're not able to drop a few archers in one section, wizards in another area. I think the defensive cc should work the same: once the cc is sprung, all the troops should come out at once.Quote:

Offense is already so much more powerful than defense (which has to be because if it were not, no one would get anywhere in the game), so a little better defense for everyone (which includes you) is something you should be grateful for.(:

It's not luck, it has never been luck. If you had bothered to pay attention you will notice that the defense CC has an activation radius and that a live attacker has to be inside that radius for the defenders to come put. If the attacking unit dies before everything comes out then there will be units left inside the CC. Which is the whole purpose behind filling a CC with archers, to drag out the CC response and require you to waste time and units.Quote:

It is inconsistent. While paying close attention, I've seen a live giant in the cc radius, archers dispatched shooting the giant while the remaining wizards wait. And I have seen that same situation where everything does come out. That is inconsistent or if you will, bad luck, that everything didn't come out.Quote:

I don't see how it's unfair. If you really don't like it think about when we had to lure out the heroes with the CC troops and you'll feel better. :)
Cheers! Uhhh, but that does goes both ways as the "offensive" cc troops are the same as the "defensive" troops. While attacking, all the troops come out at once when the cc is placed, so I just think it only fair that on defense all the cc troops should come out when the radius is breeched.Quote:

If you need a couple troops to lure everyone out i'm guessing it's the CC with 20-30 archers are the issue. Bring a lightning spell with you, do your normal attack and when they all come out just zap em!

In the thousands of attacks I have done in CoC I have never once seen troops not come out of the cc when properly triggered so if this really happens to you then you must be doing something wrong.
Use the CC space to your advantage on offense. If you have a lv5 CC and are doing a GoWiPe, then bring a golem in it. If you're doing a loonian then drop more loons on one area than the other, then drop the CC to balance it. No point in spreading if they'll pile up on the same building.The CC on defense is fine as it is
It's not inconsistent, it just takes some practice. Once you learn how to lure, you will- look at the cc, determine its level, know the radius and actually be able to count all troops, figure out the total housing space, know when to stop luring/continue luring,etc. All this will be second nature.
It is neither inconsistent nor unfair. Troops deploy every 0.2 seconds (if i remember correctly), with the lowest unit space units deploying first, the highest unit space last (which is good, as you dont want your wiz coming out first and being killed easily with no cover units in front of it). Both on offense and defense. The only difference of course on defense is you have to stay alive long enough to lure them.
So a castle with 30 spaces, filled with 30 archers would take 6 seconds to lure completely.
If there were 22 archers and 2 wizards, you would need to be in the lure zone for 4.4 seconds until all the archers are out, then after that the wizards would come out.
In fact its the same on offense.. if you dont time and place the cc drop correctly you could find that by the time 30 archers come out its not useful or they are dead.
On offense you get the choice of where to drop them all, on defence you must lure all. Having all come out with a single attacking unit being alive for 0.1 seconds would be stupid and ruin defensive planning. Think of it as they only need to appear if there's a threat. Same as hero, if threat leaves they stop being alert.
