Who else believes this is a fair request?
1. It shows we care and donated/supported (RED) not just until 8th December but forever.
2. It looks awesome.

As android does not have this option; no it wont happen.
I thought the idea of the red shield was to show support for a worthy cause. Not to make you look good.
Yes the RED is part of an apple ran campaign, android has no option to purchase RED gems, they still can buy gems lol:rolleyes:
If you only bought gems for the shield. You bought them for the wrong reason. It shouldn't matter whether it stays or not.
To be clear, the primary reason I bought the gems was to donate £2.99 to (RED). This gives me a nice 'real life' reward, as I know £2.99 is not much to me, but can mean a lot to someone that needs it.
Secondly, I think that the (RED) shield on the town hall is a nice 'in game' reward and as I have my 'real life' reward forever, why am I not able to keep the 'in game' reward forever too?
Could somebody explain to me what the Red shield is and its purpose?
Read my reason number one.
Of course you're rewarded for donating to charity, the reward is mental, you know you have helped by contributing to someone's well being, is that not a reward to you?
The (RED) shield is an optional decoration for your town hall to show that you have purchased (RED) gems and donated to support the charity. Please note it is not an incentive to purchase the (RED) gems and donate.
I'm on android, and I have nothing against people on Apple keeping their red Shields. If I was on Apple, I would want to keep it, because then you can still see well has donated to charity... If people that haven't donated see people that have, they will be more inclined to donate. It is also an added incentive.
I agree even tho i didn't purchase the RED gems! :o
You just want to egoism
Yes, that is true. If you got a mental reward, then why should you care about a physical material reward that was given because of your donation. When I donate, I don't feel a need to carry a plague that announces that I donated, I don't know about you, though. Think of the RED shield as a thank you letter that Supercell sent you, if you feel a need to frame it, print that screenshot and do that.
I mean no ill will, I'm just saying that the joy of donating should be mental and that you shouldn't be too concerned about the physical reward that broadcasts it to everyone.
Meh...i disagree since the red shield looks weird against my town hall...lol. But yeah it MIGHT be nice to show that you support something.
