A good time to upgrade teslas?

You want your splash maxed asap for resource protection, and after that, a good general rule of thumb is to upgrade your lowest level towers first, since those are going to be your bottlenecks. For example, if you're just about to maxed out and there are 5 cannons that have 1 level to go, you can be done in a week if you have 5 builders; if you have a single tesla that is 5 levels away, however, you'd still have a full month to go since only one builder can work on a single building at a time..

Just to add on to that, teslas are also great against wallbreakers and pekkas. If you put the telsas along paths where wb's are likely to go or end up, they can pick off quite a few of wb's before they go off; as for pekkas, the double damage is pretty self-explanatory.

What he said. I have a couple of tesla levels and at's to go at th8, but in retrospect it would have been easier to time and stagger upgrades if all of those 12-day ones were not the last ones.

i made the mistake of never upgrading teslas :( level 89 here with 3 level 2 teslas ( currently going to level 3 )

i say upgrade them. many say they aren't worth it but they have really high dps and it zaps really fast.

~Here crying because of my low level teslas :(

Regarding when to upgrade them, I always keep a builder on tesla sincd the start of th8, then increase to 2 builders when my splash towers are max.
Yes, splash towers are more important.

Tesla's Attack speed is 0.6s
Lv6 Tesla can take down a Lv6 giant in 10.8 seconds


As compared to a level 3 Xbow, whose attack speed is 0.128s
Lv3 Xbow can take down a lv6 giant in 10.24 Seconds, a slight victory of .56 Seconds.


If you ask me, a Lv6 Tesla at TH8 is a killer, not to mention 3 of them

I've been in no rush to upgrade to TH9 before everything is done. And seeing the comparison with x-bow to lvl 6 tesla, I plan on seeing through the upgrades of tesla's to lvl 6 before TH.

Currently sitting with maxed cannons, WT, Mortars. Still have 3 AT's needing one more level, and tesla's currently at 5,4,4. Walls are mostly purple.

Best advice is to start telsa upgrades immediately since they take easily the longest to finish. One builder really should be allotted to tesla upgrading full time.

So in a few days i will have all level 2 Teslas. From there I plan on doing all 4 teslas at the same time for the next 36 or so days until they are level 6. Here is my base if you guys think i should do something else like AT to level 10 first.


Note: I been playing since end of Jan and upgraded to TH9 prematurely. My main goal is to max everything at TH8 before moving on. I'm doing AD one at a time till at least Level 5.
