At TH8 and I need to get DE

As a townhall 8 I barched my way to crystal and hung around 1900-2000 trophies with purple shield. Looking for storages I could take with barch with at least 700-800 DE.

Now I'm in Gold 2 while my king is upgrading a bit easier raiding but usually only taking around 500 a raid.

Using barch?

I typically use 4 wall brkrs and 50/50 barch with a couple zap spells to take out nearest slash damage bldg if needed. Takes about 15 mins to brew an army if you fill the barracks up before raiding. My HH is somewhere around 200k and I have my BK lvl7, golems lvl2 , and hogs going to lvl3. Crystal III is your best bet because you find really good DE raids from max collectors owned by TH10's and TH9s. Long stretches of activity is required because those TH9 can easily take it back. You just have to be on the positive side of the equation when you log off. GI is ok too, and that's where I lived for several months, but once again it seems like that's where a lot of TH9s are lurking. I'm currently in GII and although the DE drills are not as abundant, the TH7 storages are normally accessible with barch and net me around 400 each. Same as a lvl3 collector from a TH8.

Just zap DE storage with 3 lightning spells. Make sure it has 2k+ available. You will net 600-800 DE depending on DE storage and TH level. You will gain very quickly.

Center your DE storage and keep other resources low to decrease you being a target. Also of course TH should be easy to take out to give you that free shield:)

Either TH snipe or get 50%+ with BARCH attacks to maintain trophies in the 1600-1800 range.

You will gain the DE you need in no time:)

I actually don't think zapping is the best way to get DE because it takes hour and a half to make 3 lighting spells. I farmed my BK in no time to lvl 10 barching. Coupled with 1 or 2 heal/rage spells barch is actually very very powerful. Just remember to never deploy your army in 1 same spot always spread them out to minimize splash damage and also know your limitations. Don't attack storages that are close to a lot of splash buildings. Go for storages in the first/second layer of the base.

Remember to always check for CC troops!

Zapping storages is mostly a waste imho... I bring all lightning spells and sometimes use two of them to take-out the mortar that would otherwise end the raid. Most of the time I don't have to use spells. I go with 8 WB's and BARCH. And more recently (and effectively) 6 WB's w/ BAM (18 minions, half/half arch & barb). I'm midway through TH8 and my HH is just over 450k. Easy peasy...

Use wizarian. 5 wizards in each barracks, rest barbs. Overload side that the de storage is closest to. Don't ignore drills. Can do fine with only one heal spell.

Barch all the way.

DE hunt, I boost my spell factory. I look for anything over 1200 DE.

If DE is in storages:

1) Two finger barch one corner to clear out trash. Pause to see if any troops in CC. If none in CC, go to step 2.
2) drop two wb and then rage
2a) Drop heroes to set off Giant Bombs / traps
3) Two finger barch
4) drop more wbs
5) Hero abilities.

Gold farming won't take a hit at Crystal III because everyone has DE there, so less searches = more gold in the process.

Elixir farming won't take a hit, because sometimes you'll hit a tasty collector raid between Gold 1 and Crystal 3. Barching with rage is about 100k elixir.
