No update for Thanksgiving?

No update to COC for Thanksgiving weekend?

Please not another thread asking this. It will just turn into an argument about why Americans feel that they should have a dedicated festival on CoC when they are the only country (& Canada apparently) that celebrates it and players from the rest of the world argue why it shouldn't happen. Then when the flames get to high a mod will come and close it.

Seeing as Supercell is a Finland based company and Thanksgiving is not a worldwide holiday and not celebrated at most places, it wouldn't make sense to work on a theme based for just a part of their userbase..

Nice summary of the previous threads. Hopefully it will save the 10 pages of arguing.

Thanksgiving is not celebrated worldwide :/ Sc is only updating big season/celebrations so everyone can enjoy

I'm not American, and we don't really celebrate thanksgiving in our country...


but if SC decides for a 1gem collector boost, why not? :D

TBH i rather SC celebrate every holiday or whatsoever, its just giving all player an extra boost for a little time. dont see how it gonna hurts. Maybe probably the coding/maintanence time? lol...

Players arguing about how they dont celebrate "x" holiday in their country can just dont celebrate. Even if SC annouce an event for it, dont participate. 1 gem boost for 1 day or 7 day, dont boost. thats all. SC isnt making it complusory and back to the fact, even if sc gives event, it isnt that much anyway. just a day boost or worst boost on spell only(althought i liked it abit.)

Thanksgiving isn't a worldwide holiday. There will be one for Christmas tho.
