I was just wondering how the loot system is in TH8. Today at 1am my TH upgraded to 8th, and the cost for each upgrade is 1M+. And I'm concerned that trying to save my loot would be pointless if I had let's say, 1.5M gold but then I would have to stop raiding. Would I be in danger of losing 200k+ (which would be about 2 or 3 raids), because this would be a big , moral killer. since troops upgrades are 2M+. What are your experiences?
If you raid with a good army at the right trophy range you will get maybe 4 - 6 million each. Stay below C3 or have its badge but not higher. Use barch as much as you can or Giant wizard for storage raidsQuote:

Stay down in the GIII/II range and barch higher level collectors from TH7s. You'll also find the occasional inactive TH8 for a nice 200+ raid. To protect your loot I suggest a farming base. I wouldn't be too concerned about losing resources. At our level it's very easy to come by. What you need to prioritize though is lab, spell, and camp upgrades. Get your farming armies to lvl5 asap. Once you have lvl5 barbs and archers w/ a 200 camp space you'll be able to reach TH7 storages with minimal effort.
My mini is barching at around 1400-1550. Loot is OK. To be honest I would have expected better at th8. I don't have any trouble keeping builders busy though and I only play the account for different war perspective and a distraction.
One thing I am finding is that as soon as I get to the loot cap c.2.1-2.2m I tend to get wiped out by a TH9 shortly after logging off.
I had a pretty good experience while I was in TH8. On early stages I would stay low on trophies and I always had my TH outside. I would barch all the way till end of TH8. In final stages my base looked like this :p
