Difficult question about Clash of Clans cloud

Hi everyone!
I started playing this game a few days ago and I have something concerning me...
Where the hell is our progress saved? (Ok, it can be in our Game Center account but surely is somewhere else..)
I mean, I made the following experience: I unistalled tha app Clash of Clans in my iPhone and then:
-I closed my Game Center account.
-I closed my iCloud account.
-I closed my Facebook account.

And then I installed the game again (after closing all my accounts) and opened the app and...there it was...all my progress saved...
But, how the hell is my progress saved if I closed all my accounts even before I downloaded the app for the 2nd time? Where did this progress saved come from?
I really appreciate if someone can answer me this...

Your progress might be saved on you local storage which is the phone storage. But this is a positive thing not a negative to talk about. You will be sure that you won't lose your progress

I believe this is how it works....

It's stored both on your device And on the games servers. When you open the game, it " downloads" content, this is the local copy of the game getting the current version of your base from the server ( things like how much you collectors have produced , updates, clan mail...etc. ) then you play the game on your local copy. The changes made to you local local copy are then uploaded to the server when you close it or time out and when there is a major event to report ( you win or lose an attack, you boost etc)

Its stored on Supercell servers.

Your 'login' how it knows what your game details are are associated with your apple id or your Android 'login'.

If you open a new phone and you have apple id logged in or Android details logged in.. It can pull it from there.

From what I can tell there is no way to have your town hall removed from SC servers.. You may be able to send them an email, but the details are always there.

One of the good things about this game is that all details are server based. And the client is limited in basically interacting, but its impossible to ♥♥♥♥ and manipulate the front end, and have this forced into your server details. A lot of games are going this way... At least if they plan to have an un♥♥♥♥ed record / community.

Mods exist.. but they basically just emulate basic client side activities.

You mean that the progress is saved in my local iphone somewhere even if I uninstall/delete the game?

This is correct - all game progress is stored on SC servers located in Amazon EC2's cloud service - nice and quick, secure and always on :)

What is on your device is a local copy you can change what you like there but the true version is out of your hands.

That can't come from Apple ID as well...when I deleted the game I closed all my accounts (Apple ID I closed as well) and then when I downloaded the game again I created a new Apple ID account so I could have the game again without opening my main Apple ID account.

OP, to get to your specific case (uninstall from iPhone):
- there are some hidden data Clash leaves on your device even after you uninstall the game. To clear it completely (being able to start a new village), you need to do a factory reset.

This is not the case for some other games on iOS that uninstall/reinstall will reset the game.

On android version, uninstall Clash clears all data. Reinstall Clash will get you a new village.

As for the reason why it behaves that way, I don't know why and won't go there.
