i Made TH6 should i upgrade walls or defenses?

Always defences first. Max them out, then the walls. Since most of the time you're going to get attacked by swarms of archer/barbarians, your best bet is to max out your wizard towers + mortars early if possible if you get too much gold. Or if you can't cope with getting the high amounts of gold early, then just upgrade the single-point defenses as time goes by.

Walls cost quite a lot of gold to upgrade for each :P
And walls are easily done away with wall breakers [2 or 3 is enough to burst through].

Yes! Lots of things to upgrade. You really do need to get your walls to a decent level. If you can get them all to gold, that will be find for TH 6. Then upgrade your defenses. Whatever you do, do NOT upgrade your town hall until absolutely everything is maxed out. My first account I was TH upgrade happy and it made it much more difficult. My second account is easy as pie. Upgrade order for your TH lvl, I would say cannons, mortars, wizard towers, archer towers. Just my opinion though. Mortars are deadly at that level.
