I have decided not to upgrade to town hall 10 because lots of people say the loot is bad and because lots of people say to get at least level 9 walls. I wanted to know where you guys were getting your lavas or legos and what army composition you were using.

I finished my legos in the 1500-2399 range in 47 days when I was a TH9. That was before the elixir wall update.

I used BArch, but I switched to GBArch on the last hours before I completed the legos.
Whoa great job on doing it that fast. I have played 3.5 months less than you and barely have half your GG and I play about 5.5 hours a day. I must be really bad at farming, or you are really good... probably the latter since I make about 250k every 18 minutes nowadays.
It could have been higher if I did not semi-quit for 1.5 month. All I did during those times is collect resources from collectors, and upgrade stuff if I could afford. I did like 1-2 raids whenever I catch myself shield-less when I go online.Quote:

Stay in the C1-3 region, and there are some sweet collector bases with a good DE haul as well :)
People always told me 1400-1600 but I always found loot to be much worse when I dropped below 1600. I usually stuck around 1600-1700.
Just a warning, don't spend too long doing walls at the end of TH9 or else it will completely kill the game for you. A lot of people I know have quit that at that point, including me. TH10 makes it interesting again.. brings out a new level of gameplay. The farming isn't that bad with the improved league bonuses.

Just barch at 1800-1900 cups, that's a very sweet spot with lots of inactive bases.
I got me Lavas as a TH 9 mainly barching around the 1900-2100 cups trying to keep the C 3 badge.
I kept a builder free in the end just to do walls. He would upgrade if I had my next builder coming free within a few hours or in morning. I kept one free once I started to barch with 2 barracks boosted. I had free time in real life and just wanted to smash my walls out to make game easier once I got busy in real life.
I had all walls Lava around 3 months of getting my TH 9. I did put a lot of hours into the game.
Had 2 builders doing defenses and 2 doing Heroes. 5th did the walls. Heroes are the the ones that slow you done.
Im done w/ all th9 upgrades (aside from walls and Royals) I have 80% skull walls atm and 20% lego. Now that I am done with all other ups, I am using my gold to go ahead and move lego to lava and using elixer for skull to lego.
I have 3 clanmates currently grinding lavas and they are all baching in 1700-1900(2000). The gold/elixir is pretty good, DE is subpar. They are squeezing out 3-5 pieces of day so they gotta be doing something right lol.

well my secret for making walls and finding de for heroes was that i was farming at 2200 trophies and i was focusing de!still if i find a 300k i never said no... the time that king queen was 20+i had finished my legos and got the heoreos bit lvl up!my defences where a bit slower cause iwas 4/5 builder using and keeping 1 for walls!when the time had come...i was inmpressed by the farm i made around 1400 to 1800 with 4 wb or 8 and barch!i was like 200k each in the center and you are th8?no prob i will get that all! so now i am enjoying farming down here with my queen destroying everything at lvl26!!!! keep it up and have patience!
