I've been at TH8 for over 2 weeks and I'm currently upgrading my dragons to lvl 3 and the rest are maxed from TH7 except my hogs and minions and Barb king (lvl 2)
I wanted to know what the best troop combinations are for Trophy pushing and farming.

Farming - BARCH or BAM
Trophy - Balloonian, Mass Drags
Barch is by far the best for farming. In my opinion BAM is just a waste of DE that could be used for hero upgrades. You shouldn't bother with trophy pushing until you're near maxed and by then GoWipe and all dragon raids are fairly good for trophy pushing. Hope that helps out :)
BAM - 15 minions, 4-6 WB (use sparingly), and 50/50 barbs/archers.
I farmed with this army in Silver 1 for most of my TH8 experience, then moved up to Crystal 3 towards the end. I found much less collector raids in Crystal, but the loot bonus kept me profitable and allowed me to fill storages before TH9.
For trophy pushing, I have never done that business before :)

I thought the same till I watched some of Ash's BAM videos and once I maxed my minions I haven't looked back. Soooo many more storages that are attainable with the mins on the ready.Quote:
