Hi everyone,
Anyone planning on upgrading their barracks to be able to train witches? how effective are they especially at level 1 and if youre a fan of GoWiWiPe, how often do you use that strategy and does level really make a diffierence
Witches are a very effective troop, but there needs to be something in front of it, especially if you're facing inferno towers. Without a lot of tank troops or a lot of witches, a multi-targeting inferno will fry them. However, single-targeting infernos pose little threat because of the witch's summoning ability. I have been finding success with GoWiWiPe, but it's a very risky strategy. You have to be absolutely sure that your witches won't be targeted by defenses.
Just unlocked mine yesterday and looking forward in trying it in war. :)
After a few raids am starting to realize that wizards are much more effective. They are cheaper and take less space. GoWiPe by far stands to be the best when using golems.
I watched old youtube videos of mass witches 3-starring maxed TH10's. I right away upgraded my witches to Level 2 and tried mass witches on a maxd TH9 (big mistake lol). I didn't realize they were OP back in the day and were nerfed.
But I use them all time and have three-starred some maxed TH9's with GoWiWipe. I picked open bases with less than 10 compartments. I have lvl4 golems, lvl5 wiz, lvl 3 pekka. Spells i usually bring 2 rage 2 heal (lightning for unlurable cc's and / or jump).
Witches tend stay safely behind AQ's in my 3-star attacks and because of her long-range, witches stay safe. Wizards will go in front of AQ's for no reason and get chopped up by point defenses.Quote:

I would extremely recommend upgrading you are dark barracks to unlock them. As they are useful in for example a GoWiWiPe strategy. Hope this helps.

Yes the level makes a huge difference, go ahead and upgrade them. Used right witches are a great help in any raid. They provide unlimited distraction with their minions as long they're alive and are very useful when it comes to cleaning up outside buildings after a raid for 3 stars. idk if i should post a video or not lol.
8 Skels is definitely more helpful than 6 skels; many a time witches summoning 4 at a time have been able to consistently summon another 4 just as the previous batch's 4th skel died, and one wizard took out the enemy bk; on another occasion my CC only had a lvl 1 witch, bk ploughed through the 3 skels and she was summoning when bk smacked her and killed her; no witch no skels and enemy bk still alive.
The summoning number is what you're paying to upgrade her for, not damage/hp like other troops
Witches r very effective and also fragile, yes as every other troop in the game , they get better with uppgrading to lvl2. Bcos they keep spawning skeletons, which do decent damage, so it helps in many cases to get 3 stars on a base. 😊
