Hey guys am i the only one that thing christmas update on coc won't be live this year.If that is so i am really disappointed cus i was waiting for a new Xmas tree for my collection....I heard chief pat saying that next update will be in January.

When did Chief Pat say that? It's not December yet, so don't lose faith in Supercell... :)
Next update might be in January but they'll still be able and willing to do a maintenance break to implement a Christmas theme. Just means other than the theme itself, there's not going to be new things like when the halloween theme was released.
Wait, we haven't had a content update since when, september? That doesn't include the Halloween addition, removal, or (RED) updates, so it had BETTER be before january!
Why wouldn't there be a Christmas update this year?
Have I missed the death of Santa, 'cause of which there won't be Christmas in 2014?

I'm hoping for and expecting a relatively large update. Considering the last "update" was basically a few minor changes on October 22nd. I expect it to be early-mid December.

I'm just happy playing the game. Why can't people just play? There are a lot of other games out there that rarely do content updates so I am happy playing a game that I play just because I enjoy it.
I'm sure SC will possibly start releasing some sneak peeks in around the first week of December, if there are gonna be features. I'd there aren't features, then I'm sure SC wil release some visual updates in probably the second week of December.
Such as what? The skeleton traps, new mortar. Doesn't that basically cover it? Oh yeah and a minor boost to league bonuses and a boost to CW bonuses. Update are supposed to bring NEW content. The only new content was the skeleton traps.Quote:

i hope they give it at least 3 weeks beofre the next update. i wil have maxxed all my defences by then and i am thinking they will release lvl13 cannon. i dont want it yet but it will come.
i am also thinking the january update will include th11. it has been talked about so much and probably for over a year so it is long over due
TH 8 here going to TH 9 soon. I don't want another TH. I like the idea that the majority of my stuff is only two upgrades away from the max. Not to mention TH 11 would mean new stuff and there isn't alot of room left on the map. A Christmas theme would be nice along with more gem deals.
If this is true I would be very disappointed because I haven't been playing CoC long enough to have gotten a Christmas tree last year and I am looking forward to getting one this year if Supercell do release an update;)

Quit hoping for an update all the last few have done is make the game boring and no fun. The best thing sc could do is to delete their last 3 updates.
I disagree, the last three updates have made the game better IMO. We now have pausing replays, new troops and traps, additional mortar for TH8, a MUCH easier way to find a particular clan and additional clan settings, a new look for the loadup screen... The RED update is from Apple, none of that is Supercell's fault.Quote:

ok first off chief pat doesn't know everything about the game and second off the update will probably be in December 8th because that is when the (red) will end and the update will probably replace it.
and third off, we havent had a REAL update since when, early september? I think SC is slacking, bc they pushed out 3 mindless updates, and we haven't had a real update since early september.
Oh, and don't forget, this wont be a 'big' update according to SC staff....

If all goes according to plan, the next update will definitely not be "lower than usual" (so way more than just bug fixes) but it won't be absolutely huge either (if by this you mean Clan Wars 2.0). Just a very vague fyi since I don't want to raise anyone's expectations, but there's good stuff a-coming! :o
I disagree. I'm running two devices one with the Halloween theme and one with the post Halloween/pre red version. Presumably there is very little difference between these in terms of functionality as they can all be run at the same time with the red version, which also isn't available for Android.Quote:

The end to red will have to be a mandatory update, otherwise people could think they are buying charity gems when they are not, and I seem to recall SC saying they don't do mandatory updates without adding new content.
The only real reason why you would need two updates is if the content isn't ready by the time red finishes

i am playing since september 2012 and the past 2 Christmas updates have ALWAYS been the end of November
and yeah the update might be on the 7th of December cuts of 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴 which means that sneak peeks should start on the 4th
the Halloween update occurred a week before Halloween, so the Christmas update will likely occur a week before Christmas. What are all these 5 page of kurfuffle for?
