Why are the red shields not permanent?

exactly, just keep it as permanent, more people will donate.
one reason i can think is, this will make normal 4.99 sales drop (which is popular cos cheap).♥♥♥ is business entity after all.

Maybe because its an apple ran campaign and therefore unavailable to android users.
