Edit: I find it comical that everyone with low level walls are telling you to move on to TH10, where as everyone with decent walls are telling you to stay. That's telling you something OP. Of course you can do them at TH10, but it'll take much longer and will require much more work.

What do you think we're telling you? We're telling you from experience that walls don't matter that much. I'm TH10 working on legos, but my defenses are almost maxed. I just need 1 level in a few cannons and mortars, 1 level in AD, and 2 levels in AT. You think people are looking at my base saying, "Look at those weak walls. I'm attacking him!"?

I made Champion using 240 L6 archers (it was before the update), L15 heroes, and 5 lightning spells. You know what made me laugh? Seeing bases with weak defenses and high level walls and 50%ing them without needing heroes or spells because I could just shoot over the walls and the defenses were too weak to effectively take out archers.

Funny thing is also that the people that moved up are speaking from experience. People claiming they don't regret staying at TH9 don't know if they would have regretted going to TH10. The only thing we can say for sure is that people who moved up, as long as they weren't hugely premie, don't regret it.

If walls and heroes are your only things to upgrade, you are wasting your time sitting at TH9 when you could be putting your lab and builders to good use.

Couldn't resist laughing at that. I'm in the same situation OP, I want strong heroes, so I'm going to stay at 9 as long as I can resist the temptation to go to 10.

Its pretty funny how almost all the people who say walls aren't worth it and move to th10 are people who are unable to farm them...... Lol

Walls really really matter. If ground troops have to break through a lavas 5500 HP to get to an xbow or something hitting them it essentially means your xbow has an extra 5500 HP. Now if there was an option to upgrade that xbow so that it would sometimes randomly have an extra 5500 HP everyone would be so on board cause they're infatuated with towers and say its a great deal but walls arent....

Anyways hogs can and air can both be mitigated to a large degree with base design so they aren't the reason to make a decision based on. Do you war? If you want to be in a serious war clan walls are more important than defense since defenses just give you harder matchups but walls are what stop the 2-3 stars from happening.

In the end I'd say grind out half your lavas or at least 100 before you move up.

Thats quite an assumption you make there. I did full legos at TH9, at TH10 I focused first on my defenses, now they are all maxed I am doing my lavas as a TH10. If I am able to grind out lavas as a TH10 I certainly could have done it at TH9.

Games are meant to be fun. Anybody considering making the move to TH10 should frame the decision within the context of what will be more fun for them in the long run. Personally I was getting bored after doing my legos so decided to move on, I am now maxed D, almost maxed Lab, and I have absolutely no regrets about going to TH10 when I did.

Are you into clan wars? If yes, then do walls and heroes.

I put my TH back outside about a month ago, and every attacker except one has had a barch army. (That includes the last month I spent in C1.) Don't need legos or lavas to stop barch ;)

I have attacked someone with Lego's and compared to level 7 walls it took forever for my troops to break through. Pretty well worth it IMO. I also think walls are pretty intimating and may make more people "next" you while searching lol;)

Agreed. Unless the attacker has loons, hogs, or a jump spell in their 5th spot.

In my clan, almost all our TH10s are bringing a jump spell to war... a couple wall breakers to bust through the outer wall and then a jump spell to funnel the troops to the core :)

I assume you often go into war without bringing your last spell? Because your basically implying that the last spell is not worth much. Making an attacker need to remove what could have been an additional freeze or rage spell is a huge deal and will drastically lower their chance of a 2-3 star. Don't see too many attackers on a well designed base end up getting that 100% with an unused spell in their arsenal still

Comment wasn't into imply all of you I know some can obviously farm enough yo do walls but the majority I feel it holds true off.

You been able to progress well with your walls at th10? What league you farming in and how many attacks per season and walls would you say you can do? Serious question not trolling or nothing just don't get too much feedback from capable farmers at th10 on here and would like some. I'm honestly considering going up in a month or so but am slightly concerned it will slow down my walls a lot.

I am a TH 9 too, i have 80 lvl 10 walls and rest lvl 9, my heroes at both at 20, maxed defenses and all traps, i am farming all lvl 10 walls and taking my heroes to max 30 or watever i can get them, but definitely getting all lvl 10 walls, its way more easier to farm gold at TH9, than TH 10, plus after u can use elixir it has become way easier. My suggestions farm lvl 10 walls, easier at TH9, than Th10. ☺😉
