I am TH10, my walls are only lvl8, and I am currently at 3544 trophies...walls are not that important, and I plan on continuing with mine once all my weapons are maxed.

This is a decision I've been thinking about for quite some time being as I'm in the same category(th9, max def and troops). However, I'm just finishing up skull walls... Haha I know, behind the curve here. I've basically made the decision (for now) to continue humming along as th9. Farming Legos and raising my heros up till Legos are finished(currently bk10, aq13). So I still have a long time to think on this decision still. My biggest proponent to upgrade to 10 would be the stronger troops and capacity to take on stronger opponents in the war and donate higher troops for the war effort. War is the only thing that keeps me playing as I don't really see the point of doing anything if you don't have some end goal I.e. do better in the war, take on tougher opponents etc. For now, I've decided to grind it out but every war, I get tempted to upgrade for the better of the clan not just my own base progress.
Go to TH10, get the big defs and the big troops.
lavas are overkill at TH9
I would upgrade your heroes and grind at the walls awhile your doing it, get your heroes at least to 20
Definitely upgrade your walls.
I chose to max walls and heroes before jumping to TH10, and I'd recommend every other TH9 to do the same...you'll never regret it.
Really depends what kind of player you are !
If you don't mind doing the same thing again and again and again then do walls.
I personnaly choose to up my TH each time i had nothing i found usefull to upgrade in the Labo. What i hate th most is having mor than one builder inactive.
I've done almost everything with elixir, so my gold goes in building, my DE in heroes and Troop upgrades and my Elixir goes in walls (slowly but constantly progressing).
