All Troops able to fend off cc troops

I think this would be a useful update if all troops such as giants and golems were able to defend themselves against cc reinforcements. I get that such troops are tanks but it seems like an aspect of the game that they need to implement. Thoughts from everyone?

Are you suggesting they turn around and fight them? If so I bet Supercell probably thought of this and implemented the CC troops in the way they did for a reason.

While I don't think they should go to the CC troops to engage them unprovoked I do agree that they should be willing/able to defend themselves against the troops that are actively attacking them. Finish with the building you are smashing and turn on the next closest thing that is attacking you be it a building or a barbarian. Seems like a no brainer to me.

If feasible to incorporate, it would be good to be able to specify per battle whether such troops automatically engage with those attacking them (ASAP), or whether they should be single-minded at taking out the defences.

Why would you want a golem fending off CC troops? It takes him over 2 seconds per shot. Even 25 archers would make short work of him before he even could kill half of them.

The golem is better off pounding away at a defense. Giants aren't as slow, but still slow enough attacking that they'd be slaughtered a temping to kill clan troops.

I can understand what u mean about the golem lol. At level 5 golem tho they get like spikes on their back which maybe barbs who are attacking them would be taking damage? granted not many people have barbs in cc but I don't want to limit myself on ideas that supercell could possibly implement. Giants do attack fairly well compared to golems but I'm sure we've all been there at one point or another where we had troops who don't attack cc reinforcements whether it be in a war attack or regular farming attack. Surely Supercell can implement something beneficial for attackers and not just add in more defenses (such as skele-traps, 4th mortar)

the concept of this game is that for the most part these characters are dumb. they have a specific task.
barbs attack everything, archers attack everything at range
some troops have specific targets they attack, some dont.

i think that any troop that has a favorite specific target should not alter from that, goblins go after resources, giants go after defenses
but, a troop like the barb or archer, or any other troop that attacks anything should stop attacking the buildings or walls and react to being attacked by the cc troops in there immediate vicinity, like 1 or 2 square radius.

i hate that when i specifically lure out the cc troops and then i drop troops to fight them, they target a random nearby building instead. ergh. that is frustrating.

maybe create a specific troop, one whose favorite target is cc troops. who am i kidding? im sure that has been suggested

Yes you have a point but I want to make an example of the golem idea I just mentioned in response to someone else. It would be nice even if the troop didn't attack cc reinforcements directly to have a type of passive ability in response to cc reinforcements attacking them such as golems spikes on its back received at level 5 to damage barbs attacking them. If i wanted to take this mere example a step further maybe golems could shoot these spikes out from their back for ranged troops attacking it. I'm just gonna repeat that this is just an EXAMPLE...in no way should u focus just on the golem troop but focus more on all the troops that don't defend themself against cc reinforcements. Also, I imagine Supercell had ideas of how they wanted their troops to attack but with new updates and additions, such as Lava Hounds or cc Lvl 6, are you telling me that if I deploy wizards to take out a cc full of archers for example that they are smart enough to target the biggest group of those archers?...afterall they have area damage effect. OR say the cc has a lava hound in it with 5 archers are my wizards smart enough to take out the troops with the highest dps potential first? No I don't think they are that smart or supercell thought to implement them in such a way.

Is this creeping towards more intelligence in AI with increasing level of troop? A lvl5 wizard making better choices than a lvl2 one?
Or having multiple add-ons for each troop, i.e. Golem able to defend against archers using a new type of ability.
I guess all these are far more difficult to implement in comparison to basic choice of "attack any troop which is attacking you as a priority" or not.

i dont know for sure, but i cannot recall ever seeing goblins i have dropped go after cc troops

Alright, I do agree with your post tho it is frustrating to lure castle and have your troops specifically dropped to attack reinforcements but they end up attacking a structure instead. And although very rare...Heroes that are placed on the outside of bases (seems to happen a lot more in this situation where u drop troops and they attack structures other than attacking the threat of the Hero nearby)

No, I mean lets be honest all troops need an AI upgrade (it helped that they did something about the AI and walls that troops are supposed to help in attacking the same wall piece) but I still see troops such as wbs make an opening im the same compartment that I already blown a chunk of wall out to create an opening to that compartment. All i'm saying is Supercell should work towards an idea that all troops have a way to defend themself against cc reinforcements. A lot of recent updates have only introduced new defenses. The most recent update with lava hounds was nice because it created new ways to help in attacking bases.
