You can get it done without idle builders, with the right planning. I'm assuming you have less than 5 builders, correct? If so with 5 builders we're talking a max upgrade time for buildings, heroes included here, of 161 days and lab upgrades of 170 days. Even with 4 builders that number only drops down to 201 days. Total resources you need to accumulate at TH9, walls included is 1,325,730,100 (723,279,050g, 597,698,550e, 4,752,500de). Unless you are hardcore, you're not going to farm all of that in even 201 days. Farm what you need to get a building going or a lab upgrade going when they free up and put the rest in walls a little at a time. At 161 days, if you can do 1-2 lavas a day, or 5-8 lavas a week you'll get there. OR, you'll take care of a decent chunk of it.

Those numbers don't sound right. Heroes alone from 10 to 30 take around 130 days. That's two builders out of commission for over 4 months, leaving 3 to do everything else. Now I'm not saying you're wrong, but I know I won't farm enough resources to finish my walls in that amount of time. I don't loot enough to have enough extra resources to dump that much into walls. I just don't. When I'm otherwise max TH9, I'll grind for legos, but that's about it

Assuming everything is maxed at TH8:
BK = 135 days; AQ = 157.5; total of 292.5/2 = 146.25
Xbows = 62 days
DE Drills = 42 days
Archer Towers = 51.75 days
Cannons = 25 days
Wizard Towers = 43.50 days
Mortars = 28 days
Air Ds = 63.25 days
Teslas = 81 days
Army Camps = 20 days
New Gold, New Elixir, and DE storage = 23 days
Traps (with skeleton trap) = 23.25 days
Dark Barracks, Lab, Spell Factory, CC = 34 days
Lastly the TH9 to 10 = 14 days
Total of 803.25 days/5 = 160.65 days

Take out heroes; 510.75 days/3 = 170.25 days. That is a pretty interesting theory you bring up but the difference only brings you within 10 days of the original assumptions, which is not much. Looking at the Lab upgrades evens it out:

Now ^ this is an accurate assumption. It's an absolute eyesore when looking at the numbers it in total. With the math being sound and all, the theory behind it is fare fetched, I agree with you. I mean, will I be able to get full lavas in 170 days? I highly doubt that. But its really about what you want to put into it, which is up to the person. I myself believe that being able to say, "I have a maxed TH9," is worth the grind and all of the extra time IMO. But that's just me.

Well I'll be damned. That's impressive. As much as I hate to admit it, I was wrong, haha. Although my lab is way behind. It's never stopped running, but because upgrades take less time than lab stuff, I just fall a little bit further behind with every TH. Another problem I have due to impatience, haha.

Hey, we're all human right? I mean the numbers are all based on the facts but you throw a few gems in there for one or two things and that's going to skew the numbers a lot. That's why I recommend listing things out and tracking them. Its definitely the nerd thing to do, haha. But I like things like that. I get fun out of the game by trying to time things right and attempting to optimize. I wouldn't say I'm hardcore because I do have family, a job, and a life outside of the game, but feel I can get in what I can. I definitely boost here and there if I have two hours to spare lounging around on the couch after work. Listing things out worked out great at TH8 and I know the grind gets more intense with less resources available at TH9, but that's not going to stop me from enjoying things. Having fun is the important thing. And knowing what you want to get out of the experience lets you do that.

A few of those troops are th10 troops. I.E. Goblin 6 and wb 6. You might want to clean your spread sheet up to reflect that. 😀




to the OP. I didn't quite finish my lvl 9 walls and wish I had. That said many many th10's in masters only have lvl 6-8 walls (though they are generally the easier targets). You will want to max out ALL of your defensive buildings and get a healthy start on all of your dark troops. In fact I would recommend you max your dark troops before going to th10. As far as heros....i would make sure to have atleast level 15, but lvl 20 as a minimum is better. It makes a huge difference in farming and raiding.

with your extra elixir, dump it in to your walls. Keep a few mil in the storages and once you hit 8 mil, get a few more walls. By the time your heros are done and your dark troops finished, your walls should be much better and you can jump to th10.
