So, I'm a th8 farmer and I like to hang in 1200-1400 trophies which is the best to loot gold and elixir. However, I'm thinking I need to get some DE to upgrade my BK to lvl6 (and after that to lvl7, 8... etc). When collecting DE I would naturally move to 1600'ish trophies, but I would still like to get some gold for the expensive walls and elixir for troop upgrades. So, is it easy to farm gold and elixir up in 1600 trophies? Because I'm a new th8 I still have lvl4 troops except archers lvl5.

1600 is the threshold where I start dropping until I get to about 1450. It varies, but I often find 1600-1700 to be fairly dry compared to 1450-1550. But the sweet spot moves, as we know. HTH
Hey, i highly recommend you make ur defenses higher while your new to TH8 because all the high levels up there will kill ur Base Pretty easily.However u could try going to 1600's see hows it like first.as i get quite alot of DE at 1300's;)
How long does it take you to collect 20 to 25k DE? Why don't you just go up to 1,500 to 1,600 for a few days, grab the DE, then come straight back to to 1,200 to 1,400 for more gold/walls? I wouldn't try doing DE and Gold at the same time if I were you.Quote:

Buddha1515, so you're suggesting that I would raise my trophies to get only DE and then lower them again to get gold and elixir? I really don't know is it the best solution.

Kachan1234s, nice to hear that you get good DE in 1300, can't say the same for me. Usually find only 100 per battle in there.
Stitch, DE has always been a really slow resource for me to gather, but I'm thinking that in 1600 trophies it would be quicker. So no golden trophy spot for DE AND gold? That's sad. :( I'm currently working on my DE drill, lvl3 would give 1k per day so that's pretty nice.
In high trophy counts, elixir and DE is plentiful. Gold, however, is a totally different story.:(
Lower ends of farming ranges are better for gold/elixir, while higher counts are better for DE. Inevitably, you are sacrficing one resource for another. Since you are a new TH 8, I would recommend you stay low for a while and focus on gold/elixir at least until you get level 5 troops.

Side note: it's nice being up higher in the trophies because most are going for trophies, so if you keep your town hall outside, you'll get a free shield almost every time you're attacked.
