Can I purchase gems for others?

Hi everyone!

I'm from Brazil and for us it's really hard to buy gems because of many issues. Most gamers don't have an international card and gift cards for Google, Apple and such are not available for us. I however have access to everything and though of helping a few friends which I've done in the past. Bring their account to my device and load their village with a few gems. Is this okay? I know the risk is entirely upon on all those involved, but I was just wondering if for some reason I was violating the TOS somehow. I read the TOS like 10 times and found nothing against this.

Ideas and advices are welcomed.

Mods will definitely tell you otherwise but what you are describing would work. Having more than 1 account is against TOS so I assume something like this would fall under it.

I wouldn't give someone I don't know personally my account information.

I think this is a great idea and you should post it in the 'Ideas & Future Requests' section as it will get noticed more and I hope to see this feature in the game soon ;)

I think it's one of those slightly grey areas where SC would use judgement of the circumstances if it was reported to them.

But the bigger picture is it is a REALLY bad idea to give anyone your GC or G+ username and password - one they have it that's it - they then can recover your account at any time....people can do things with the best intentions but circumstances change, usernames and passwords fall into the wrong hands maybe friends fall out - it's not good form to do this really.

Are you certain it is not possible to simply buy an iTunes/G Play voucher online in Brazil?

No he is simply asking to load a friend's village, buy some gems and give it back.

I have done this a couple of times, once we had a young Finnish girl we knew for months and she was pushing and running out of elixir so I bought her a few gems to help her get to master. Another time we did a donation contest so I did the same.

It's not something I like suggesting to do, and I would feel very uncomfortable with players I really didn't know well, but in both the above circumstances I had known them a long time.

I wish there was an easier way to gift gems to clan mates as a prize for an in clan contest, I think it could become too open to abuse, people demanding gems off others etc. Lend me some gems... then never seen again. :rolleyes:

You can gift people itunes credit just using there emails username, find it in the AppStore, thatll be even EASIER and much much safer

Yes, I have access too everything from the US or any country and have tried all methods. Region issues block Brazilians users from redeeming such cards. In Brazil and many other countries a lot of people tend to create accounts using VPNs, yet Google now well linked with Google Wallet has additional restrictions and iTunes is even worse.

Well, I did load her account just like I've done before to others and added gems without any problems. However, she is a young girl and ran into a lot of trouble in resetting her password, changing it and updating the device. So she had a lot of issues! I'm the good guy in this case spending the money to help a few people from my clan since we can't give/use gift cards in Brazil like we do it in the US. (YES I TRIED IT! THIS IS NORMAL HERE IN BRAZIL)

But I would not do it again for her! Those talking about breaching the TOS by creating multiple accounts are obviously just wasting space in the thread by saying things which have nothing to do with my issue at hand.

I would yes, do it again many times, especially if it was a giveaway... but then again, I would assume no responsibility of trying to help them if they don't know how to reset their password and update the device.

He never said he owned multiple accounts. All he did was have someone log in on his device and buy gems using his account for them.
