What makes a clan 'active' to you?

Having a look at all the recruitment threads/replies, I almost always see the word 'active' used. I thought we had a fairly active clan, but am wondering at what point a clan goes from kind of just plodding along, to active?

I would consider myself to be an active player... and would judge myself on donations (addicted), participation in my clan chat (my name is always in the feed!), and amount of time actually being online in the game even if not actively chatting (not going to openly admit to a number here!).

Also, I've been snooping thought some of the clan donation amounts of the 'active' clans.... some are more than ours, but quite a few are much less.

So I throw the question out there and await some thoughts...

well I know my clan is extremely active, as the chat is always going, donations are always being filled, and just having a good time.

Consistent chat and donations means "active" to me.

Me not having to say "Be more active!" consistently
