Attractiveness is very subjective, you can attracted by the appearance, damage, cost, etc.
Barch is indeed efficient for farming. You can get a maximum of loot with as cheap troop as you can get. But for me pekka is the most attractive troop overall.

I'm a TH10 making decent progress, have several maxed troops - and Barch [or BAM] stands out by a long margin as the most effective AND efficient option.
All I need is 50% and a base that has gone cold for 12 hours and I am making decent profits and getting cups any other combination can get.
In my opinion it is a sad state of the game that as a TH10, I find basic tier 1 troops best. Why have I spent a year and a half unlocking and upgrading all these other troops if they just feel like a waste of resource & time to use?
Surely there must be a way for SuperCell to correct this. Really enjoyed reading the different comments here on it.

Now that one could really work, often barch is only a 1 star prospect; other armies such as Go[mix], Dragons, Hogs can give far greater 2-3 star potential. If you got more league bonus for going beyond 50% that would certainly make me consider other armies.Quote:

I'm not sure how attractive Barch is. I mean the archer girls are kinda pretty, the Barbarians are butt ugly though.
I have done pretty much nothing but barch the entire time I have played Clash of Clans for one simple reason - army cook time. I want to actually play the game, not sit around doing other things while I wait for my army camps to fill. Even with barch I spend 80+% of the time that I am playing CoC just doing other things in my house and moving my screen once every 5 minutes while my army cooks so I don't log out and get attacked. Even barch is too slow and boring. I won't even consider longer cook time armies (unless I am preparing the first attack while under a shield or am fighting in a clan war).
I understand why some troops cost more elixir than others, but all troops should have the same cook time per unit (meaning if a barbarian is 20 seconds and takes one unit of housing space then a golem which takes 30 units of space should take 30 x 20 seconds or 10 minutes to make). If this were done then all armies would take the exact same amount of time to make no matter what units you were making and the only difference would be troop cost. Granted, I only really like this idea if they bring everything else up to the speed of barbarians. The last thing I want is for army cook time to get any slower and more boring than it already is with barch.
On my TH8 account I love barch, as I can triple other (not all) TH8 bases.
On my TH10 account I find barch incredibly dull. Kinda feels like I'm not playing the game properly. Barching for me is basically faffing around on the outside of a base for a league bonus and some fullish collectors if you're lucky enough to find them.
I much prefer loons. I can log off between raids, I can core bases and I don't have to next loads. Suits my preferred style of play much more.
Most obvious and most likely way is to nerf archer
Man do I wish that statement were true, but unless they start giving a free one-hour shield every time you log out there is no other way to play it. If I just attacked once and then logged off while my army built I'd never collect any resources (granted I have always ended up playing in higher leagues than is recommended for my TH level). Staying logged in for long periods of time is a requirement under such circumstances so barch is the only real option (and even barch takes too long to cook).Quote:
