Discussion: How could SuperCell make other troops as attractive as Barch?

Barch is not attractive to me XD
Barch is only attractive to me up to a premmie th9, heck even only up to a maxed th7 .

I'm not as active or efficient as others do they farming, I'm "attracted" for my own army comp of 30-45min cook time. If I'm going for loot, i'll do it smashing the base at the same time. I'm attracted to it because it's "fun", efficiency is not "fun" for me, but I still consider it when choosing a base that presents a loot as well as a challenge.

CoC is not a game of 1 continuous long session of gaming(this is not MMO), unless you are gemming for boosts for a big upgrade or rushing for those cups.

I know higher level guys are good/great at barching, and its fun for them... but not me.

It says "what would make trophy/big armies more attractive to train not what would get SC more $$$. (I'm gonna start calling them ♥♥♥ lol). I was simply saying what would make people stop BARCHing as much and resort to GoWiPe/use wizards.

make goblins target everything with double damage. This way we can expect Goarching :rolleyes:

I think barch is the most attractive strategy because of the archers... Mmmm dam they get me going ��. They could make other strategies more attractive by giving giants a makeover and bringing in female wizzards dressed similar to the valks aha.

I get that.

The only way I see out of this though is not troop cost / training time reduction, but troop recycling.

At higher levels people end the raid once they hit 50 percent. Some of their units like Pekka's and a few stray archers remain on the enemy base only to get "poofed" into elixir once end battle is clicked.

Instead, how about bringing those units back to base so that a lot of training time and elixir is saved. This will also mean that some amount of skill will be needed by the attacker to ensure that many of his troops survive.

a win will refund the attacking army cost at a % rate:
- 1 star win will cover 25% army cost
- 2 star win will cover 50% army cost
- 3 star win will cover 75% army cost

only applied to the troops that is used in the battle of course, so it isn't abuseable with snipe

We barch because it is the most cost effective way to farm. SC would have to change the cost effectiveness to something else for us to change. Either something has to be cheaper or increase the cost of barbs and archers (and I would never want to see that.)

Time is a consideration too, it has value. If valks took 2 min to cook, my guess is people would use them more as they would be part of a fast building army, getting more raids in with them.

Well Barching is so enticing because with inactive bases its really easy to steal over 1 million gold an hour just out of collectors. Although the game feels like it was designed so you should be storming the bases to muscle your way into stealing the storages. I feel the solution to getting people to using non barch armies would be making storages more valuable to raid than collectors.

Supercell would need to:
1. Double the value of the loot stolen from storages while halving the value from collectors.
2. For inactive bases, "auto collect" the loot from the collectors and move em to the storages every so often.

Those are just 2 possible solutions ive thought of that would make attacking for storages more attractive than going for collectors.

Someone already replied to the thread with the idea of troops that did not die during battle could be bought back for a lower price. (That and quicker). I thought this was a really creative solution, althou definitely unlikely for ♥♥♥ to do!
