Discussion: How could SuperCell make other troops as attractive as Barch?

Lately, I find many of my clan mates; and also several posters on the forum saying the game is becoming Barch of Clans.

The recent combination of elixir walls, lv 7 barbs & archers & higher league bonuses have made the combination far more attractive than ever before. Which it did not really need, it was already a popular farming option.

What do you think are things SuperCell could to do make players consider troop combinations outside of Barch?

A major MAJOR loot fixation. I mean like 200K+ average in Silver/Gold for TH 8+. Also the price and time of troop training would have to dramatically be lowered

I wouldn't go so far as to say barch is attractive. Efficient, yes, attractive, naah. Much prefer to build a more interesting army ;)

So youre telling me, you would build a 120K elixer army with spells, having to wait 30+ mins raiding 2 times an hour to find a base with 300k gold but a lot less elixer? Thats attractive to you?
But raiding four to five times in an hour with and army that cost about 40K elixer isnt attractive?

Attraction is different for everyone, is it not?

I find Gowipe a far more attractive army composition than barch.

I know the OP mentioned about farming, but it wasn't aimed at farming.

Also just to add, my pekka cost 50k each, so your 120k army is waaaay off the mark.

The guy you replied to must already be close to maxed. I won't discredit his experience in the game. I am TH8, but when I get bored from barch even I try different raiding strategies. My current one is Hogs (15), Dragons (5), Wiz (5), CC(Archers - 25) on some unsuspecting TH8 to 3 star it.

Just wait till I unlock the Golem and try GoWiPe on revenges ;)

Boom the beach . Troops that do not die in battle can come back home . Dragon n Pekka , high HP can be save if they still alive for next battle . May be add other building "Hospital or Healer hut" to heal them with less resource spend compare to build a new unit.

I'm honestly not too sure. It is one of the only viable strategies now. Balloonion in champs is alright, but only if you don't want elixir lol.

SC would lose gems. This is the reason people boost their barracks and are ready with barch armies every 5 mins. So the probability of this happening is minuscule.

• more loot bonus for more stars.
• Less training time for other troops as this is the main reason people use barch (never gonna happen)
