It would be nice to have penalties for clan members who leave a clan when a war has been declared.
They already have the penalty that you can't participate in a war until the war you left is over. However I do agree it is very frustrating when people leave the clan in the middle of the war. I think that's just part of the game same as clan hoppers and inactive members.Quote:

Also, let's say there was a penalty. Now what? These people simply sit in your clan without attacking, or even worse deliberately undermine your war effort by making a roll over war base.
Real simple here folks .....
Leave the clan ..... Leave the troops!
Can't take em with ya if/when you go.
You leave a clan .... your clan castle troops stay behind.
That simple.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
And another thing.......
Display a message to the player that you can't leave during an active war. However .... however .... once the war is over, that player will automatically be removed from the clan. Maybe, just maybe, that would give a little bit more incentive for the player to partake in the war. If not, no harm no foul as they were gonna leave anyway BUT .... See above option for when they do leave.
