[Farming] How Many Times Are You Willing To Hit Next Before You Raid?

I'm curious how other people raid. How many times are you willing to hit next before you find decent loot or settle on a raid?

If you respond, please also include your trophy farming range, what resource you mainly farm and how much loot you aim for.

Personally I farm Cry 3 down to 1900 trophies. I tend to hit next up to 50 times to find 200K+ gold and/or elixir or a snipeable TH... whichever comes first.

I hit it at about 20 times or less due to my high chance of getting a collector raid

I'm willing to next up to 30 times, but at that point I start seriously decreasing my loot minimum.

My highest next-count was 109 next's. Hope that implies that I've got the patience to click a lot of next. My trophy range is usually 1300-1500 when looking for gold/elixir (sometimes it's higher due to needed trophies in order to compete in CW) and 2300-2500 when going for DE.

I don't go under 300K all.

I'm BAM'ing Gold I/Crystal III with the Crystal III badge.

Looking for 1K+ Dark and/or 350K+ combined resources whether it's an inactive or storage raid. If the loot is easy to grab with around or under fifty troops, I'll steal 800 Dark or 200K+ combined resources... I'm willing to hit that next button until I do so.

As long as it takes longer lol. Next is my Best friend.

i'm either aiming for
1500+ DE

OR

180k++ loot

i put up to 20 because i usually get either after 10-15 next....

I generally try to find 150K+ of each, or 1500 DE if I'm lucky. I farm sub-200 with Balloonion.

Hmm, no choice for "As many as it takes"...
Though I usually find something within 20 "next"s.

Same here. Im a TH9 in G1 - C3 and search until I find loot or a snipeable THs.

I search about 25-35 bases then i get frustrated and either switch severs or wait a while but i recomend gold 3 in the japan server

Iv been maxing my heros to lvl 30 forever now with loonion up in masters. So i dont have to hit next many times. maybe 20 max. Usually find 2k+ well before 20.

I will keep hitting next until i find the loot i was initially looking for when i first pushed attack.

If i Next 30 times and then decide thats too much and just raid the net base with no loot available, i lost out on all those searches, just so i could start searching again next raid.

The way i see it is every time i hit next i have the same oppurtunity to hit a good loot base. Stopping the search just because ive pushed it so many times already makes no sense to me. Am i not in the same position as the first time i pushed next? Isnt my chance of getting an awesome raid just as good on my next search as it was the first 30 times? Why stop now?

Just my opinion.


i usually sit in C3-C1. Although I dont belive thats important.

How is sub 200 farming? I tried that before. But every time I stopped raiding, people would dump trophies on me and I'd end up with 250-300 trophies. Then every time I want to raid, I'd have to spend 10-15 minutes to dump trophies before I even get to raid.

Do you experience the same issues?

Yeah iv done a little sub 200 farming. You need to stay online for awhile and actively farm. gotta be very active.

I'd really prefer NOT to have to. However, I guess as many as it takes to get a decent looking base. I used to not really have a problem because I mostly farmed in the later evenings and now... During the day is harder. 😄.

I'm almost max Th8 (except for walls) i farm from 1500 - 1900. I usually go for gold and dark elixir. Usually I'll keep hitting next until i find a raid with 150k+ of gold and elixir and 300+ of dark elixir. Sometimes i have to hit it 20 times to find a favorable base but it's all worth it.:)

In the 1700-1889 cups im find good loot for a th8. I'm finding pump bases every 3 to 5 searches

th9. currently at gold 1. i do hover from gold1-2. around 30-40 next. well i do reduce it to 20-30 next once i boost one of my barracks

as many as it takes to find 300k plus total resources. Im a maxed th 7 and i farm in silver1 to gold 3

I farm de only right now so I hit next till I see 1000+

I just lost like 100k hitting the 'next' button.. Now I RQed.

I set a minimum loot target, based on what kind of army I have trained. For gobarch, I look for at least 300K combined loot (gold + elixir). This is just a general rule of thumb -- if I find a collector base with full pumps outside the walls, I might just drop my heroes or a few troops to grab a 150K and take the loss.

For loonion or gowipe, which each take about an hour to train, I look for at least 450K loot. I usually keep Nexting until I find whatever I need. About half the time, I hit more than 100 Nexts. About a quarter of the time, I hit Next over 200 times. Sometimes I find what I want in the first village; it varies a lot.

I know I am an extreme case. However, this approach has allowed me to keep my laboratory and four builders going pretty much non-stop.

I also should point out that I mostly use a tablet (iPad Mini). It's much harder to keep hitting next on my iPhone -- the screen is way too small to keep staring at for that long.

I'm TH9, level 104, but I settled on this approach as a TH8. As a TH8, I used to routinely find 500K or 600K bases; after one gets used to steak and lobster, it's hard to go back to a diet of rice and beans.

Usually, i hit next arround 20 times before i find a good 150k+ raid. However, if the loot seems way too hard to easily grab, then i keep nexting until i find yet another suitable base ( my army tends to range between giants and archers to balloons and minions), plus a rage spell and 2 heal spells. This is why i keep looking for high loot raids.

I am in same trophy zone you are,and I always find loot within 10-20 clicks

If you're th8 and above ,
You have to hit 40+ ,you don't have a choice

The key to successful farming is not caring how many times you click the next button honestly. Patience, as is with cup hunting is key.

TH9, I farm in the range of 1800-1900 trophies. I usually shoot for 400K total loot (200k+ gold/elixir each). After about 40 "NEXT" presses, I'm willing to accept 300k total. I usually search for the full collectors since I raid with barch, mixed with some gobs and wall breakers. Usually have to trophy drop since I can 1 star almost every hit.


Every now and then if someone has a somewhat exposed DE storage worth 1K+ DE, I'll attack that base as well.

Yeah I do that too...

Crystal 3 win bonus is 35k, so that equates to 46.66 NEXT's at TH9.

Likewise in Crystal 2, I am willing to NEXT 66.66 times.

I have to be feeling very picky or very unlucky to not find a base that I can't 1 star in that many bases. At TH9, there have only been 2 occasions where my NEXT cost was greater than the gold that I earned from the raid that I ended up playing. I don't understand the "loot issue" that people speak of. And don't even try to tell me it's worse at TH10:

At TH10:
Crystal 3 = 35 NEXT's
Crystal 2 = 50 NEXT's

That's still a lot of choices for a higher TH with stronger troops, and 20 more camp space.

3 to 5 searches?! What language do you use when farming?

I search about 10 times then I find a good loot like 250k each. I am around 1755-1795 and on English language

Yeah, I have a very similar approach. Never raided with GoWiPe or any bigger armies before... I'll give it a train some over night and give it a try.
