Thought I'd leave a bit of feedback.

I've been a member of the Forum Alliance for just about two weeks(?). I started out in (and am still in) Forum Rising. I have learned new things since joining and have engaged in both CoC related and non-CoC related discussions with several members. I was drawn in mainly because of the maturity of the members and the quality organisation of clan wars. I have never been a member of such a organised clan.

From what I have seen and heard, the other three clans (and their members) are all superb.

This is definitely the best choice for anyone wanting to succeed in wars and anyone wanting to learn. There's a little bit of everything.
