I' m a nearly maxed out town hall 7. I am trying to save up for a barb king without gemming. I am in silver 1. What attack strategy should I use for dark elixir or any attack strategy?

There's a called Clash with Cam and he is max th7 pushing to master's league with a really strong strategy. U should check him out
You could farm 10k de in G1 with boosted barracks in 2hrs if you are a decent barcher, bam might work better to help you get into the base a bit better but I don't use bam, it's just what i've read and makes sense that the minions are be able to fly over walls.
I personally liked to use giant healer a lot when I was at town hall 7...
you need to get to Cry 3 (TH snipe your way there, it shouldn't take too long). Make sure you have a lot of gold available for searching by the time you get to Cry 3. Gold is a lot harder to raid.
Since most people put DE Drills near the edge of the base layout, it's the prime target to raid for DE. Get familiar with how the different level of DE Drills look (higher level drills hold more). Also if you zoom in, you'll see a glass cube shaped container on top of the drill. You can tell if it's half or completely full depending on how high the DE is in that container. If you find a TH 10 with 3 higher level DE drills near the edge of the base that haven't been collected in a while, you can score big. Plus, since the drills are on the edge of the base you don't have to use huge armies to steal it which will allow you to raid/search for DE more often. Of course you'll lose trophies doing this so you'll need to snipe any exposed TH you see to help keep trophy count up. Every winning attack in Cry 3 also gives you 100 DE which can add up over multiple snipes.
Here's my TH4 that I sniped my way to Master III
Good Luck!
This was very helpful. I will take all of your advice. Thank you once again.
