Dear CoC Community, Friends and Family,
At Smoking Aces we've been blessed with the presence many strong willed, friendly and talented people. Our holiday was full of cheer as we continued our efforts around our many responsibilities. I'd like take a few moments of your time and share my experiences of how I became a member of Smoking Aces.
As an early Town Hall 7, I was out on my own again. With the consistent hammering for Elixir war was challenging non-stop and somewhat unbearable to maintain in consistent war clans. As both my wife and I play, we took turns on each of our accounts visiting and meeting lots of wonderful people and completing a few wars looking for the right home. You see, back then, I didn't think much of my CoC career and little did I know that was about to change.
My lovely wife, who claims to be a better raider than I, was nearly in tears one night. Not tears of sadness, but laughter as she nearly woke our entire neighborhood from their sleep.
Skeptical as I am, I joined Smoking Aces on an invitation. Being unlike most clan's I've been visiting in recent times, I was met with a complete disdain, thinking my wife has been cracking jokes - SHE HAD!
As I surveyed the clan, I was greet by an abrasive leader demanding my (measurements) details. Of course, I'm joking ... just a little. It's clan policy to interview for spaces on fit and personality. Hmm, maybe I forgot that from these posts? oops!
Over the months, and now at least half way though my Town Hall 8, it has been quite the journey. Most people are considered family as share a great deal of our lives with each other both in game and our chat groups. At the end of the day we do what's best. Like being vol-in-told for forum posts!
We've suffered some great gains, bitter departures and another depressing loss this passed week. Thus, we've been thrown another curve-ball. (That's a baseball term, might want to Google it.)
One of our beloved co-leaders decided to put down the game after over a full year of playing with our core group and Leader. The Aussie with the witty remarks, drunken walks home and secret love affair (probably one-sided) with our Leader has vanished into thin air. Sir Bulldog, we salute you and wish you and your family our best wishes.
Nearly at our capacity, we're filling our final 5 or fewer spaces and need the right person(s) to fill them.
At Smoking Aces, we're not just a clan. We're a very socially dysfunctional and sometimes slightly psychotic family.
Regards,
Korhin
