My idea is that you only win a percentage of that money. Kind of like trophies, this percentage would be based off of both the attacker's and the defender's TH level. That way, if a TH10 destroys a TH7, they'd get a much smaller percentage of the pool money than say...attacking another TH10 or a TH9.
Introduce a collector Achievement for getting all collectors to strategic lvls with a reward of gems. This is not my idea someone else came up with it last year can't find it now unfortunately. I am a manic player and partly inactive player due to RL i may not log on for 2 days to six weeks at a time.
I realized long ago that to upgrade my collectors was a magnet to getting raided this does appear to be the case with my second account at TH6 for the purpose of the example consider both accounts are TH9 in crystal 3 with Townhall outside one with max collectors and one with the minimum lvls.
If I am saving to upgrade Archer tower to lvl 11 for example so have 3.5 mil gold and am working on heroes and have 40k de and have to go away for 2 days with no internet. My collectors will fill on my primary account i might get barched for the loot in those on my 2nd or 3rd shield after the first TH snipe and then onwards for 4 attacks! On at least one of those attacks someone strong enough is going to be clever enough to raid the storages.

On the 2nd account I have really low lvl collectors and in the same scenario most people are just going to snipe and quit because there is no loot in collectors and the loot in storages is too hard to get to and little or no elixir because i dump that in walls.

my TH 6 account I have avoided upgrading collectors for this reason. I only steal loot and generate almost none myself. If there is an incentive to upgrade all collectors of each type we will see many more bases generating resources and becoming worth raiding. Those gems are a good incentive to do the achievement and collectors and mines can be maxxed relatively early in the game with the exception of the de drill.
This will put more loot into the food chain with very little effort on SC's part
People complain about a lack of abandoned bases everyday I see hundreds they just have nothing worth taking as a th9 as a th6 the same base is very lucrative due to the loot weighting system.
Pain and simple. We need more inactives. Storage raiding isnt viable because most bases with a lot of storage loot have strong defenses that would take an expensive army to penetrate. Im not saying they should make every base have 200k each in collectors. We need those small collector raids too with 120k each. Usually loot is fine, but there are some days that you search for 15 minutes without finding anything worth raiding (yes, 15 minutes is a lot) those days are the ones that need to be fixed. Idk about u guys, but for me loot is always awful in the morning, maybe put in more inactives in certain hours.
Upgrade your mines, drills and collectors.to max.
* more goblin/single player levels
* larger clan war bonus (nearly almost break even now, but 2x elixir would make the gold/lix profit for a win equal)
* double number of inactives in queue (if you're willing to next 25-50 times, you should actually get one)
* double current league win bonuses across board (just lix, if not gold, to better cover army costs)
