Loot solutions

This is your opportunity to organize your ideas and share them. I've always lived by the rule "bring your superiors solutions, not problems", so, please follow a few basic guidelines to make this as clean as possible for everyone to read.

Guidelines:

Here's a quick example of a 'do' and 'don't' with your ideas:
Don't: " 'Nexting' at TH10 is too expensive and is costing me more then I can farm. It needs to be fixed!!"
Do: "Reduce the cost of 'nexting' by 20-25% on the top 3 TH's"

Loot is fine. Th 8 and 7, just farm storages in gold. People in my clan do that and it works for them. They find plenty of inactives and other th 8 and 7.

Th 9 or above?
1-Go up in trophies
2-Barch the loot bonus.
Easy as 1,2..ER...just 2.

Below all those? You got loot. Don't complain. :p

Now we're getting somewhere. Hopefully we can get some good ideas going here. I want to start by saying what the loot problem really is.

The majority of resources come from collectors. We active players don't produce enough resources from our own collectors to sustain ourselves, so we're forced to raid the collectors of inactive players. Even most of the loot from storage raids came from the collectors of inactive players. The game's economy is dependent on inactive players. It's a broken economy.

Supercell has stated that the matchmaking system prioritizes active players over inactive players. That makes it hard for us to find collector raids. The matchmaking system itself makes it too hard for us to acquire our main source of income. That's the problem, sitting there pressing next for absurd amounts of time. Where's the fun in that? Games are supposed to be fun, right?

The easiest solution would be for Supercell to change the matchmaking algorithm to make inactive bases more available. Let's be honest, that's not the best solution.

So let's try to come up with some possible changes to improve this broken loot system. :D

This is not the place to debate whether loot is good or bad. There are other threads for that. This one has good intentions, so let's not try to ruin it too.

I agree, no making more inactives, let people learn how to raid storages!
Honestly, only if every base was 500k/500k/7k or more, people will still complain

As I have explained above, storage raiding is unsustainable. Active players cannot solely raid active players because we consume more resources than we produce. Plain and simple.

Btw these threads about loot is just a waste.
I don't think sc would even care about these solutions.

Regardless, please take it somewhere else. Our best bet is to try to keep this thread concise and easily readable for anyone who chooses to do so. Irrelevant comments aren't helping.

On to my idea. It may not be the best, but it's something to get the ball rolling.

Supercell has stated that they have statistics showing the usage and effectiveness of different troop compositions (I'd give a link, but I don't remember where I read that). They should look at these statistics, and find the average cost of an army required to 100% a base in each trophy league. Those costs should become the new league bonuses. They would be significantly higher than they are currently.

Then the league bonuses should not be awarded based on winning the battle, but on the percentage of the base destroyed. In theory, that should make up for the cost of an average army required to 100% a base. And sniping a Town Hall would only award a very small percentage of the league bonus. The loot penalty should then be applied to the league bonus to prevent Town Hall 9s and 10s from sitting in Gold 1 and barching Town Hall 7s for 100%.

Then there's the idea of removing the shield from destroying the Town Hall. I think this might actually be a pretty good idea in this system. It would bring a lot of high loot bases back into the search queue. We farmers will have our bases attacked a lot more often, meaning we will lose more loot but it will be much easier to get it back.

This system would encourage more players to raid other active players (which currently is unsustainable). This system would be sustainable.

It would also require us to do a lot less nexting, which isn't fun at all, and a huge waste of gold. A lot of people here support the idea of making the nexting cost go to a pool for each base when it gets skipped, which can be won by the attacker for attacking that base. I disagree with that because I think it would be exploitable. Very strong bases could drop way down in trophies, have their base nexted 1000s of times, and attack other players who do the same, and win a huge sum of gold. So I think that one's a no-no. :p

Barching/BAMing would still be the most efficient means to farm, but then big armies would also become profitable. Who wouldn't rather farm with a stronger army instead of Barching/BAMing their brains out all the time? I think most people would agree that it would be much more fun.

Oh, and trap rearming costs should be awarded for successful defenses. No reason to punish us for defending our bases :p

I'm sure that's more than 100 words, but I feel it's better to explain things as clearly as possible. There were people with some pretty good ideas in the old loot thread. Hopefully they find this and post them here.

we can raid and consume more resourses than are introduced into the system. Reinstate the accounts you have removed in the last 30 days and those that you will remove going forward. Leave them as abandonded. It's the only way to even things out.
increase the percentage of loot available on raids. if you can't defend it, so be it. Im close to maxed on gold now and haven't lost more than a 1k in raids.
Go back to the old calculations of what's available on a raid, don't protect the upper level guys by reducing what they can loose.

I think it would be nice if Steve, Anoushka, or anyone from Supercell could pop in from time to time and give us some feedback on any ideas we may come up with, and the pros and cons of each. That way, we would at least know if we're on the right track.
