I never said it isn't a cheap tactic. I only said that it's part of the game. As a TH10, it isn't worth my elixir, compared to what I can take by raiding, but as a TH7, maxing out my dark troops and BK, with no other elixir upgrades available, it was a viable part of my farming strategy.

Thats hilarious, I actually did the same thing to a guy with the exact same base. Ended up leaving him with only 39%, though I didn't think of joining his clan to share my fortune.
