New idea for zapping defense (this is different, trust me)

This would make thing's worse. I personally think there is NO issue with DE Zapping. It promotes a TH10 to go to crystal or higher, Instead of farming in silver or gold. You would see so many more high level's in lower leagues because they know there DE and storage's are safe because very little people in that trophy range can raid them.

Zapping thread number 4 before high noon (PDT). While original, like dahimi and iceageg have said, this will just lead to higher th farmers creating large hybrid bases that can withstand attacks from lower ths. And while in the lower leagues, it is highly unlikely that any serious high TH will steamroll them. Farmers won't keep their TH inside their walls, so that negates the idea, while trophy pushers will keep them in and keep winning defenses from zappers and lose almost nothing. It's a lose-lose situation for all but the high-TH defender.
From what I get from your idea is that, as a th10, you could negate all but 1 lowly lightning spell as a th10 attacker. 4 spires would make th9 and below, zapping them useless. It's like the people have said before me, Zapping is a way of lower ths to farm from higher ths for resources with a minimized risk of them being revenged due to the loot penalty.
SuperCellSteve has spoken about it, so accept or adapt.

Exactly. I understand the annoyance of getting zapped in higher leagues, but it's far less common and there is way more available to raid, so it's quite easy to get back. The only available DE in lower leagues belongs to higher levels. If lower levels can't get it there, they'll be forced to move to higher leagues.

There's already been numerous threads of higher level players complaining about low levels being in Crystal or higher, so it's a lose lose situation.

Many higher level players seem to forget they were once low levels too.

I get zapped all the time and when it happens I curse, thank the person for the defense mark and go knock around a th 7 to get my DE back. The rod on a th like that only has the de in mind, not sure it really makes sense to put it on a th since it can't do enough damage to it.
Would be same as having it available to use on any building at all which has been ruled out many times

Every high TH understands your use case. It's not happening.

You go on and on about the attack not being defensible and ask everyone to challenge this knowing full well they can't. Your problem is not with the argument. Your problem is you can't seem to accept that this is by design. The spell is not supposed to have a defense. Its entire reason for existing is to do indefensible damage. That's its purpose. That what it was for. It's what makes it valuable.

SC tells you this and furthermore says they aren't going to change it and you keep on going. Why?

Tell me, oh wise and powerful one, if supercell has decreed this will not be changed, why isn't it in the ruled out ideas section?

I am glad that you admit my point about zapping being undefensable is irrefutable. Thats more then most pro zappers will admit.

Not sure, but we have tried to point out both politely and sarcastically several times now that SC has recently & publicly stated that there are no plans to change it. Effectively ruling it out.

The irony here is that since zapping is supposed to be irritating everybody who complains is hurting their own cause. Every complaint is more evidence that it is working as intended! You are effectively congratulating SC for a job well done!

Lol so does that mean pro-zappers who don't find it annoying are booing SC and that there should be more zapping to this make it annoying?
Also if you read the links, Supercell Steve has clearly stated that they aren't changing it now so like iceageg has said it is effectively ruled out

I haven't seen one person refute that lightning is indefensible. That's the whole point of it.

The only thing I see is you refusing to recognize ALL spells are indefensible, whether directly or indirectly. Use of troops is irrelevant.

High powered defenses are totally negated by effective use of mass hogs and 4 or 5 healing spells.

Inferno towers are negated by the Freeze spell.

They all exist for the sole purpose of negating defenses. In other words, being indefensible.

Considering the sole purpose of lightning is to deal indefensible damage, negating that makes it completely worthless. Just the same as those fog or heat or muck ideas to nerf heal, freeze, and rage. What's the point of expensive and time consuming spells if they can be defeated?

Your "point" isn't really a point at all. It's like complaining to the company that makes your smoke alarm and saying that it is annoying because it is too loud.

No I'm pretty sure most pro zappers will admit that. What they actually speak about is mitigation strategies.

What about having tesla coils absorb 25% of lightning damage that hits within their boundries? It wouldn't completely prevent zapping but would make it less enticing.
