This might seem quite a silly question but I'd like to know whether you guys fill up your storages before your builder/laboratory is free or only start to farm when the builder/laboratory is available? I've been saving up for my next upgrade but I keep getting raid 200k-300k by higher THs. I've seen people with full storages waiting for builder to be free and I wonder how they do that? FYI, I placed my town hall outside for people to snipe but it was completely ignored by farmers.

so u better have an average loot always to be close to the required loot for upgrades/constructions and it would also let u to be safe from losing high resources and it would take less time to save for the upgrades/constructions though.
i always plan my timetable such that a builder is free after every 1-2 days
i plan to upgrade a building and then save for it....
Depending on the number of builders you have, it shouldn't be too hard to plan your upgrades such that you have a builder freeing up every day or 2. Unless you are a TH10 of course.
If you plan your builders to where they finish an upgrade every couple days great. I aim for that, but if I fail oh well..The main thing is, imo, make more then you lose. Is it gonna take you a couple days to get the lix for the lab? If yes I would definitely fill it up beforehand. Log off, get raided, and ride that shield until you can raid again for a couple hours. That way your Storages are always going up... 1 step back (sucks), 2 steps forward..you won't always get raided for all your available loot, so it's a win win. I had half full storages yesterday, and only got raided once, for 120k each rss. then I got home and added 1.5 mil to each rss in a couple hours. just keep it topped off and you'll be fine. Main thing is to only let them have a chance at your rss's twice(max) a day.
if you find that you've made a bit too much resources too soon with no builder free for a while, dump some into walls. This practice will get your walls done quickly and painlessly.
I'm a mid to late TH8. I always keep 1 builder free. I keep about 1 mil each gold and elixer in storage
The rest I dump into walls. I'll farm what I need for an upgrade the day before
Thank you all for your kind suggestion! I'm a mid TH8 with 4 builders. Upgrades that take 2mil - 2.5mil is so hard to save. TH9s with AQ can wipe me out easily. I can't imagine saving up for xbow in TH9. Lol
Um... If he has no builders free how is he going to dump loot in walls? If he has an idle builder for walls then by definition he has a builder free.Quote:
