Should I upgrade to TH8?

I been TH7 for about 10 days and upgrading defenses and buildings takes a lot longer than that but I maxed out my walls after 5 days and been resource capped for the last 5 days. I feel like it's such a waste to not raid between upgrades/use resources on walls since they take no time to build. I could of been farming lvl8 walls instead of sitting here with capped resources for almost a week waiting for my builders/laboratory to finish upgrading. What do you guys think I should do?

Just wait and keep upgrading
It will get harder to get loot higher up and your defenses are really low leveled
High level walls with low level defenses do not bode well

Definitely not, while your walls look great your defenses need to be improved quite a bit before you progress. Walls w/o defenses are useless, but defenses w/o walls are too.

Town hall 7 is fairly easy to max out.. Keep working at it and take advantage of the loot bonuses.

That's the problem, I'm already capped and the upgrades are too cheap, I can't use my resources fast enough. I heard DE is a lot easier to farm at TH8, while I never have gold/elixir problems, it's really hard to farm dark elixir with lvl4 troops and no drill as a TH7. And all this unused gold/elixir could go into the very expensive lvl8 walls while my workers upgrade defenses :( Thanks for the advice though guys I trust your experience and will level my defenses some more.

Max out your defenses first before upgrading your TH.

Definitely easier to get DE at TH8 but holding on to your resources with your current defenses will be a nightmare.

I think the amount of loot people can get is obnoxiously low, this game is too noob-friendly lol. People steal like 250-300k out of my 4 million which I get back in just 20 minutes of playing, or more like 3 minutes of playing and 20 mins of waiting :P I'm kind of used to less forgiving games, but I see your point ^.^

Its that easy because of the last update. If you looted 175 x 200,000 = 35,000,000 of loot (call it 17.5Mil of each gold and Elixir), it's only 3.5M gold & 3.5M elixir per day.

What I suggest is that you try to enjoy life outside clash of clan and let your builders do some work!
TH1-8 is pretty cruisy anyway, so don't expect th8 be any harder. Th9 is also not overly complicated, just takes a tad longer.

Normal people are awake for 16 hours and sleep 8 hours a day. If you just play 5 mins per hour for 16 hours that means you've played for 1 h and 20 minutes, let's say 2 hours. You can easily make 600k up to 1 million per hour. Ofcourse you're not likely to be playing 5 minutes of clash for each of those 16 hours but you can still make 7 to 10 million a day by actually playing the game less than 2 hours. I'm an university student and most of my day revolves around sitting at my desk studying or researching and I use clash to take much needed breaks. While I appreciate your advice, I don't need real life advice from someone I don't know on a gaming forum, you don't know anything about me and I don't know anything about you, so let's use the forum to talk about the game.

I'm simply trying to make the best use of my time since I baught workers and would like to catch up to people who have been playing the game much longer despite the fact that it's a time based game, it's also farm based which I excel at.

Max your splash, BK to level 5 and farming troops. If you want to join war pick either dragon or hogs to be max. Dont go upgrade both, its a waste of time imo.
