Accidentally Dropping Troops

It happened again. The second time in two days, I dropped a troop on a max TH 10 (minus walls) and was forced to surrender.

I am in Masters 3.

I am STILL at low Masters 3, because accidentally dropping troops twice has cost me -50 in trophies. I am at 2599 trophies, and made to a max of 2644.

Here is what I propose:

When you start a battle, no troop is selected. That way, when you try to drop a troop, a message will appear telling you to select a troop to drop.

This should solve the problem for good.

How do you intend to stop it? Supercell already have an idea, so you should probably read the sticky.

I had never thought of this but that's a damn great idea bud. I hate accidently dropping troops :( unless its on a th7 tehehehe, might as well use the rest then hey ahahaha!

OMG best suggestion ever! I don't know how many times I've missed the Next button or got distracted and dropped a barbarian or archer. Please add this!

well tht will prevent accidental click for sure supercell should consider this idea

Great idea! This has been suggested before, but this is the flawless solution to is. I don't really see many cons (except now I don't get free trophies :(

i would prefer if a troop was selected and instead, when you drop a troop it says "are you sure you want to attack this village?" or there could be a "attack" button like in wars, but i agree with your idea.

I would guess that selecting a troop then dropping it was paramount to saying you want to attack.

I mean the troop is selected automaticaly as usual (the first troop is always the one selected)

What ♥♥♥♥ing ♥♥♥♥♥♥ed dev at supercell decided it was a good idea to have a troop be selected by default when attacking??? Oops accidentally drop a few troops when trying to hit next, now you lose 20 trophies or attack the base. ♥♥♥♥ you supercell you dumb ♥♥♥ incompetent ♥♥♥♥♥♥s

It happen to me when i am so sleepy and press next
i just drop troops
supercell need to fix accidental drop maybe cancel th battlr when throwing only 1 troops
if they dont want to remove auto selecting troops thing
but i prefer attack button or no auto selected troops thx

Although ideas to fix this problem have been suggested before, my solution has not yet been proposed. I think my idea is the best solution.

I would love to have this implemented and I agree, accidentally dropping troops is a pain, just did it earlier today actually.

it happens all the time to me this would be a real lifesaver

This is so easy, supercell must do it haha dont pre-selecting troops during countdown allow us to explore the village (¿who did not make zoom putting both fingers over enemy buildings in order to dont put troops in there?)

Make it easier to make by having no default selected troop.
